USOverpriced Smoke & Mirror Service Mid Level Executive: Hired this resume service to write my resume, was extremely expensive, as far as resume writing goes and was way overwritten, which is not what potential employers want to see in this day and age. I did not get one response to any job application I applied to. Also, the extra curricular work you must complete, is taxing and did nothing but cost me valuable time putting it together. Mr. Yate needs to update his style and approach, it may have worked in the 90's but not in this day and age, at least for me anyway. They did write a resume for me, but it turned out to be useless because it never got me any interviews, it was complex and hard to read. Worst part is it cost me $850. I thought I was hiring the best, but felt as though I got scammed. Had to hire another resume writing services that charged less than half the price and I got multiple interviews.

USSO GOOD, made me stand out in a competitive field The past year has been a whirlwind for most of us in the tech industry, and I found myself needing help. I bought a cheap resume service online, and sent it out, only to get 0 responses. A friend told me about Knock Em Dead's book, to which I found helpful but that I was in over my head. I then worked with Martin on a new resume, followed by a bunch of other things I didn't know I needed. About a week later I had my first interview, and 2 weeks later landed a dream job. Or career, as Martin would say. Thanks for everything Martin and best of luck with that bass guitar

USThe book lead you to read resumes and … The book lead you to read resumes and there are none online. Waste of money

USThank You! This Is My Go-To Guide I am so appreciative of the help that the Knock 'em Dead 2017 has given me. I'm currently looking to make a career change. I have kept this book by my side as I rewrote my resume using the example templates (which now looks SO professional), have used the Executive Briefing template (which when I'm done writing mine, I'm so PROUD of it!) and have read and reread the networking section as I work to make my connections. And through the connections I have so far, I am now signed up to take courses to gain more relevant skills and knowledge in my new career choice. I came across this book when I was searching for books on "job searching" 3 months ago. This book came up as the most relevant, followed by two other books (which were less recently published). This book, by far, is the most thorough and helpful of all of them. I find that I only come back to this one.

USThe worst mistake I made in 2016 was … The worst mistake I made in 2016 was going with this resume service. As of today, one year later I have no resume. no money back, nothing. Mr. Yates is highly respected within the industry. This was not helpful to me in the least.
