I think this vault will withstand the elements (soil, water and weight, etc.) when buried. Customer Service was perfect; took time to answer my questions and very helpful. Beautiful Urns, Excellent Company We have used Mainely Urns for 3 previous fur babies and have been very happy with their urns. We now needed them for our 13 yo cocker Zoe.
