Helping me Support women of the world A great nonprofit organisation that speaks out and highlights the need for improving women’s rights particularly in countries most affected by drought. This problem also identified by the UN but Avaaz allows individuals like me to be involved. Really like the way this platform only contacts me about issues i’ve expressed an interest in.

I have supported causes for 16 years I have supported causes for 16 years on Avaaz, for indigenous people, for women's right and for the nature. Avaaz has always represented all kind of people, and they continously inform and involve the members and those interested. I know there has been and is a certain unbalance regarding e.g. the Middle East, but no worry - you are always welcome to make your own petition! And like anyone else, I can simply choose what to sign and what not to sign. I never got any spam from them. I have supported 7-8 causes without problems. I also supported monthly for 2 years, and had to stop 2 years ago. I emailed them, and they cancelled my monthly payment. I startet again 6 months ago, because they do a highly important job. I think Avaaz potentially does good… I think Avaaz potentially does good work, but they seem to intentionally make it near impossible to contact them. They make it very easy to setup donations, but then now way to stop them. Their website, offers no contact information at all. Their help page say to click on the pink button below to contact us. There is no pink button. this it too big an organization to have such a poorly designed website if it is unintentional.

A formidable organisation A formidable organisation. Anything or anyone that can mobilise and draw together such large numbers of diverse people from around the world for the greater good is to be commended. It's founding principles are sound. More of it needed to oppose the dying order of the mass right wing media . !

So many funny reviews... It's so funny (and depressing) how many people here are calling Avaaz fake and coming up with all sort of crazy conspiracy theories. Just because their actions are not compatible with your nationalist or ideological framework doesn't mean they aren't doing good things. And not only good things, but things most people with empathy and common sense can and will agree with. They are not against particular countries or peoples but they do campaign against unethical practices and corrupt and draconian politics. That is important on every possible level. I do however agree that they send quite a lot of messages which is sometimes annoying. But that is a small price to pay for trying to make the world a better place.
