GBImpressive Wow, this is a very impressive product, especially for the price point. The wheel was very easy to assemble alone — took about an hour, and came with so many nice touches including a cute, reusable hardware box and a really nice, magnetic screwdriver. The wheel once assembled is genuinely attractive. I don’t mind having it in my room at all. I knocked a star off bc a few pieces were dinged up including one that shows from the outside. But overall, this cat wheel is nice looking. As far as function, it does indeed roll quite smoothly. My 9 month old kitten is quickly getting the hang of it. It’s big enough for her to grow and still have room to stretch out and run. It is not silent but certainly not loud. I LOVE that it has a lockable brake. Why doesn’t every cat wheel have one?? I’ll need to add some Velcro pieces to the carpet bc it tends to puff out in a way that allows my girl to get her claws stuck from time to time. I’m also uneasy about the gaps between carpet strips — they’re small, but I think could be a problem. Again, nothing I can’t fix with some stick on Velcro.

GBI have to give credit where credit is… I have to give credit where credit is due. The engineering, ease of putting together, the instructions, the parts, it’s very well done. Outstanding, honestly. It was easy to understand, it was up within about two hours. I do think I may be a lucky cat owner. I have a fearless blue point Siamese kitten that just under a year. He was taking his first steps on it within minutes of it being setup and is progressing through training SO well. He loves the fabric in the wheel and instantly took to it. It’s what he scratches on now. Since it’s locked at all times except when we are training (as directed for a newbie) I put his toys in it at night and I occasionally find him lounging on top of the wheel or inside at the bottom. That being said, I have my criticisms. They gave white gloves and I’m not sure what for. I had to take them off within minutes. I kept fumbling the screws and the fabric was catching the black finish, which caused a chip on one piece. Speaking of, there were a few chips on the finish around the corners. The black came right off. The wood product it’s made of doesn’t feel particularly reassuring. Although the instructions do not make this distinction, I think I put the locking panel in backward. The light pressure of the wheel resting on the “locking fish” pulled screw with the little silver gasket out of the wood while locked. This happened on its own and luckily this didn’t occur when the cat was on it. It was a quick fix, but as I was taking it a part to flip the board to prevent it from happening again, I noticed the same silver part on the sides of this pane used to secure the screws appears to be coming out too. I’m concerned about its ability to hold up if taken apart and put back together for a move, but this a concern not a fact. As of right now, I’m very satisfied. Even with the criticisms, I’m happy with my purchase and my cats response. One more honorable mention here: it’s so much quieter than expected. It might be one of his quietest toys. This was a chief concern when buying a wheel and the primary reason I didn’t choose a competitor.

GBNever received the order I paid for Never received the order I paid for! Ordered on 11/02/24, today is 03/03/24. Athlecat promises to deliver in 3-7 days on the website. The company doesn't answer anywhere to give me an update or anything at all, despite numerous attempts. I'm suspecting a scam now. Will add to my review if ever receive my order.
