USRipped off They don’t live up to their philosophy of “fair pricing.” They charged me $1250 (this is after the military discount) to replace a shower cartridge which should have cost $400 (which is on the high side). The same technician did me a “favor” and charged me $600 cash under the table to replace a shower cartridge in another bathroom. The issue is still not resolved. DO NOT SETTLE FOR ELITE ROOTER. LOOK ELSEWHERE.

USRipped off We contacted Elite Rooter because sewage was coming up through our shower drain. They found that we had old cast iron pipes that were corroded and needed to be replaced. Elite recommended a pipe burst to do the job, and quoted me $18,000. They offered financing upfront through Synchrony. I got another quote for the same job with another company for $20,000. Feeling confident, I decided to go with Elite. It was a HUGE mistake. Initially, they did what they said they would do. They took out the toilet and tile, and dug under the house to do the pipe burst. However, the pipe burst was not successful. They demolished part of my shower wall so they could put the pipe through. Still, it didn't work. Finally, they told me they would be installing a liner instead. They refilled the hole they dug under my house and patched it with concrete, and left me with a gaping 12"x12" hole in my shower and the wall behind my toilet. It just got worse from there. Insurance refused to pay for any of this, so I ended up needing to pay off the $18,000 out of pocket. Naturally, I wanted to see a detailed invoice of the work that was done in my house, because the only one they provided me was a vague estimate of the original work they had scoped to do the pipe burst. I also now didn't just need to replace my floor; I needed to replace the tile in my ENTIRE SHOWER which cost a fortune. They also damaged my walls in the pipe burst attempt. But worst of all, a month later the toilet stopped working properly. It takes multiple attempts to flush anything down, even just toilet paper. I am wondering if the pipes were fixed after all or if the liner was actually installed. However, once Elite Rooter “finished” the job, I could not get a hold of them again. I have reached out no less than FOUR TIMES on the phone and via email asking for photos of the liner, a copy of my warranty, and help with the hole in my shower and other repairs to my property. Nothing. Each time I call I get told to send an email to management, but no one ever responds. I guess they don’t care since they already got their money. In short, don’t go with Elite. Or if you do, make sure you don’t pay the full amount until you’re satisfied with the work they’ve done.
