Shady Business Practices! Brought my Dad here for Fathers Day! This is maybe the 3rd or 4th time I have been here and everytime I go I am less satisfied and the last time will be just that; the Last Time! As far as the restaurant ambience, it was absolutely terrible. There were several large parties of people who probably had to much to drink and were screaming and jumping around out of their seats. We tried to seclude ourselves to a corner of the restaurant, but it didn't help. It was hard to hear each other talk! This was strike one to me, but to be fair, this is not fully the restaurants fault so ill give them a pass here. Service was ok, nothing special, yet no complaints. Food was Ok. I got the walnut prawns, which were very good but they are pretty much everywhere. I mean a prawn in a sweet sauce, you cant really go wrong. My dad, on the other hand, ordered grilled prawns. These were tasteless and so dry it seems the chef might have forgot about them on the grill! Now for the two things that bothered me the most about this restaurant. They have several nice flat screen tv's in nearly every corner of the establishment. This is great if you want to watch a game, etc. While there were no especially important games on when we were dining there, they could of had the tv's on ESPN, or the news, or off for that matter. Instead nearly 75% of the TVs showed paid advertisements for local real estate agents and their properties they had on the market. I mean come on, do they really need this revenue stream to stay afloat, because if you ask me its extremely tacky. No one goes to a Chinese restaurant to go house shopping. Unbelievable! The final issue and the most bothersome to me, is when I received the bill, they had already added 18% gratuity to the bill. They do this with no option to pick your own amount of tip to leave. It is just automatically added to your bill with a total. There is no total listed without the gratuity added. We were a party of 2, so they obviously do this to everyone. The worst part is I nearly left a tip on the table as it is very unclear on the bill that they are adding this and giving you no option to not tip, or tip less. I believe this is a very shady practice and most likely illegal! I will never go back to China Café again, nor will i ever recommend it to anyone!

I believe it's fantastic cuisine for… I believe it's fantastic cuisine for the price, and it's always fresh and hot, but they're not open right now, despite what the website claims
