Hands On Deal Makers at GwR Rudy, founder of GwR was instrumental in bringing a superbly cared for 928 S4 to his auction site. Although I was the high bidder at the end, my bid did not meet the seller’s reserve. Rudy jumped into action and over a long Thanksgiving weekend a deal was made to everyone’s satisfaction. That other auction site leaves it up to the hi bidder and seller to try to strike a deal if the sellers reserve isn’t met. More often than not, a deal doesn’t materialize. Having an intermediary (Rudy) certainly helped us get a deal that worked for both of us.

I was a bit sad when the car was loaded and the truck drove away but I am confident that it went to a good home. I appreciate that you went the extra mile when the final bid was just slightly short of the reserve, you made some calls and made the deal happen.

I registered on GWR’s auction site to… I registered on GWR’s auction site to bid on what looked like a beautifully cared for 1987 Porsche 928 S4. While the auction ended with me as high bidder, the seller’s reserve price was not met. Rudy of GWR got involved and helped negotiate a fair price for both parties. I took possession of the car last Thursday and met Phil, the seller and his wife. To say that he has been a great caretaker for the past 25 years of this car would be a gross understatement. I couldn’t be happier.
