GBI purchased a $2,299 electric bike⦠On Aug 19, 2021, I ordered a $2,299 electric bicycle (model: VeeGo 750) from a merchant named Ride Scoozy of 1901 12th St N, St. Petersburg FL 33704. Phone #: 1-833-4-SCOOZY. Since they were running a sale at that time, I got it for $2,099. My credit card statement transaction date shows 08/20/21. This bike arrived on September 2, 2022, it comes with a one year warranty. On Dec 17, 2021, the LCD display odometer automatically reset to zero after I had put nearly 700 miles on my bike. I immediately contacted the merchant and sent them 2 pictures to show them what's wrong with the odometer. Instead of offering to replace the part, the merchant told me to send it back for them to "examine". I need this bike to make a living, this is like asking me to forgo hundreds, if not thousands of dollars in lost income! More importantly, this bike is still under warranty. I expect a bike that costs nearly $2,300 to work more than a year before the parts start to break down, not just a few months!!! (I found out from the merchant after the LCD display issue that it is not covered by their warranty.) The people behind Ride Scoozy are bold-faced liars, they FALSELY claimed they had refunded me $150 for the LCD display - which is a TOTAL & COMPLETE lie. I have proof from my credit card company that they didn't and when I confronted them with the proof, they admitted IN WRITING they didn't refund me anything, not a cent! The reason CitiBank didn't approve my request to dispute the $149 (not $150 as the owner claimed) is, CitiBank only wanted to know if I made the purchase and as long as I authorized the purchase, I am on the hook, it doesn't matter to the bank that I got a faulty product or part. The least Ride Scoozy could do is to warn their customers that their LCD display is NOT water resistant, much less water proof. They also FALSELY accused me that by complaining about them is a form of harassment and an attack on his company! I did NOT make a single phone call to this company. I am just reporting my experience on Trust Pilot, BBB and other similar websites by telling the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth, they consider this 100% a crime! My bike DID NOT fall into a river, rain got into the LCD display while I was on my way home. I live in the Pacific Northwest, the least the merchant could have done is warn customers that rain could seep into the display but they didn't. That's the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. My offer still stands, send me a replacement, a brand new one and a return label, I'll send their original NON WATER RESISTANT one back. Bottom line: Rain got into my LCD display after just a few months of use. Ride Scoozy should NOT be allowed to hide behind their UNFAIR warranty. According to them, sharing my experience by telling the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth is "100% a crime". It looks like they are intimidating me into not complaining about my unpleasant experience with Ride Scoozy.

GBI have the same issue I have the same issue, their LCD display is NOT water resistant. But seeing how they fight so hard here not to stand behind their inferior product and their unfair warranty, I don't see any point in contacting them. I don't want them to call the FBI on me for committing a "100% crime", their words. If I knew what I know now, there is no way I would do business with them. That video doesn't address 3 important things. (1) Can you guarantee ALL your parts, every single bike you sell, are faultless? (2) It takes a little more than a few seconds to see if a LCD display is water resistant. (3) Throwing one small bucket of water is far different than riding 10 minutes or longer in the rain. Stop with your gaslighting. By the way, I am NOT Sandra, my VeeGo is the Fat Tire model, not the 750 one. The reason I would NEVER, EVER buy anything from Ride Scoozy again is... they assume every single one of their customers is a crook out to cheat them of a spare part until proven otherwise, they totally ignore the fact that "examining if a part is faulty" means loss of time, shipping cost, loss of income and so on for the customer. Anyway, since I have already found a buyer for my VeeGo Fat Tire bike, I won't be replying to this slimy, poor excuse for a company named Ride Scoozy that doesn't stand behind they products they peddle. If only this company knew how many customers they have likely lost due to these negative reviews here, BBB and elsewhere. Clearly, they take the opposite position of "the customer is always right". Their motto should be "all customers are crooks out to get us until proven otherwise". Once again, I have found a buyer for my bike, after this post, I will NOT waste another second of my life on a business that will never, ever get another penny from me, in fact, I will tell everyone who is looking for an ebike to avoid Ride Scoozy.
