The Old-School Cloth Shin/Instep Guards At Its Best I really like the old-school cloth shin/intep guards because of its light weight and thin paddings. I practice muay thai and I am not a fan of the bulky shin guards that's been popular for the last three decades. Yes, fighter's safety in the gym is important, however, at the same time, it's equally important to develop the ability to withstand the punishiment. For this reason, I highly recommend these items for any serious practitoners.
