Poor technical assistance I’ve been using a Hilltopper on 2 bikes for 4-5 years. Loved the product. This year I bought a battery upgrade. Installation was less straightforward and getting support was impossible. There are no instructions and the only help that I could raise on the phone were non-tech people and robots.

The diameter of my handlebars is larger… The diameter of my handlebars is larger than the throttle mount. Had to modify it a longer screw and then wedge it so it doesn’t slip gorilla glue. I hope it works so far it’s worked great. Hilltopper was very simple to install and so far seems to work really nice Back-and-forth to work when the weather is good 2 1/2 miles each way it’s really nice full suspension specialized bike ground control

We love our Hilltopper Sprinter motor… We love our Hilltopper Sprinter motor assists. Being able to get up hills will help us complete the American Discovery Trail in West Virginia. I was disappointed that the bike center found the battery cradle to be defective on my husband's Sprinter and that my husband wasn't able to use his our first week in West Virginia. Staff were responsive and sent a replacement. However, the lag time between responses to emails and phone calls was frustrating. I had hoped they could overnight the part in time for our trip but instead didn't hear back until we were half through the trip. Hopefully they will be able to improve response time in the future.

Mixed results with the Summit kit. I bought the Hilltopper Summit kit. The documention was not accurate and incomplete. The kit met my needs but not my expectations. The way to reset the trip counter is not obvious and their tech did not know the proper way to do it. There are several features that the display is capable of but not implemented. I expected more of their top of the line kit. The display was initially defective but their tech was good about sending another one. The throttle has a dead zone and it is difficult to control the power.

Even great for Recumbent bikes. My wife and I have recumbent bikes, and have had them for almost 20 years. We ride almost every day. My wife recently had a knee replacement, and has had difficulty on some hills. We have researched E-bikes, and have decided to keep the comfort of of our old bikes. Hilltopper, seemed to be the best choice, so I bought (2) 20" Horizon kits. Since our bikes are quite different than most, mounting the battery bracket took a little longer than I expected, but not bad. Now we are loving the ride more than ever, and no hill has been a problem. Thanks Hilltopper!
