There are certainly better aquarium forums out there... I was a member of Fishlore for almost 6 years, with over 2500 posts helping and learning from fellow aquarists. As I was reading some of the reviews here, I noticed a review that one of the mods replied to. The mod stated, "We don't ban members very often and only after they have been given several warnings about forum rules violations." This is simply not true. I was banned from FL without any warning, and from what I can tell, my crime was belonging to another fish forum. Others I know had a similar experience. I enjoyed my time on FL but was treated terribly by the mods there. There are certainly more welcoming aquarium forums available.

VERY MEAN AND HATEFUL MODERATORS especially Rivieraneo NEVER SEEN SUCH MEAN AND UNPROFESSIONAL MODERATORS MANAGING A FORUM. THEY ENJOY BANNING PEOPLE INSTEAD OF OFFERING A WARM ENVIRONMENT. . I WAS BANNED WITH NO WARNING FROM the admin Rivieraneo because i POSTED A PHOTO THAT WAS NOT MINE AND I REPLIED TO THIS MOD BY SAYING THAT THE PHOTO ACTUALLY WAS PART OF THE LINK I INSERTED ON MY POST BUT THAT MISERABLE HATEFUL person, STILL BANNED ME. NOW I DONT KNOW WHAT YOU CALL THESE GUYS. SHAME ON YOU AND I HOPE PEOPLE REALLY LEARN WHAT THEY REALLY ARE.

So far so good Unlike some fish keeping forums, Fishlore doesn't promote Parroting...where some members repeat remarks they've seen elsewhere but don't have a clue about what they're saying. The level of real expertise on this forum is its main feature

Not friendly, intolerant Mean moderators, I defended Tom Brady, and they didn't like it, I also made a joke about the MCU, they didn't like it, and I posted an Ant-man video, THEN DELETED IT because I remembered they said hell in it. That was the end of me! Find another forum if you want nice people!

banned for doing literally nothing. Made a account so I could ask a question Regarding my Aquarium but went to sleep before I posted, I went to sign in and post my question but before I could do anything I was banned. Didn’t give me a reason or what “rule” I violated. I didn’t post any comments or forms, I made an account and signed out for the night. Then I was banned the next morning.
