Fun hour of surfing! Review is a bit delayed, as my daughter and I took a private kid and adult lesson together back in June, but we had a blast. Addy showed us around the board and the safe and sure way to stand up and ride a wave in the office and then we hit the beach where we also met up with Abe. Both gentlemen were super friendly and had me and my 7 year old catching our first waves and even getting on a party wave together!! The water was a bit crowded and we were nervous about the coral at first, but they made sure to communicate what we needed to do and also spoke with others they knew around us to make sure everything went smoothly. Experience was awesome!

Extremely disappointing experience Extremely disappointing experience. The instructor couldn't wait to end our lesson - we ended up with half of the time we paid for. No response when we tried to communicate with them afterwards. The location they picked was the worst: so crowded that you keep bumping into others; the water so shallow and full of sharp rocks that we all got hurt when falling into the water.

Great school and wonderful instructor… Great school and wonderful instructor Paulo. We had terrible experience with Big Dave Surf and Coffee Shop in Honolulu and it’s owner Horrible Dave! We contacted Kahu and we were received with utmost courtesy and professionalism. Our son took several private lessons with Paulo and significantly improved his surfing skills. I highly recommend this surf school.
