Ideal for family or large groups My family rented three properties at Champernhayes, The Barn owl and Lark cottage, for two weeks in the summer. The location is perfect for exploring Devon and Dorset. We found lovely beaches within thirty mins drive and the Jurassic beach of charmouth was ten mins away. The properties were perfect, well equipped, very clean and with modern interior decoration. As the properties are located around a central courtyard we could easily spend time as an extended family. The children loved the indoor pool. We would recommend Bridport Saturday market and Lyme Regis for interesting shopping and local Independent shops. We found three large farm shops very nearby that had local produce but also a broad variety of delicatessen and unusual ingredients. We have booked Christmas and Easter 2021as it’s perfect for a family gathering.

Avoid at all costs Cottage was filthy and owner is quite frankly bonkers. Not anywhere 4 star gold standard and if you look on Visit England’s website they do not list this place as being accredited by them. Don’t waste your money. Avoid at all costs.
