Each journey is tailor-made by our deeply knowledgeable Destination Specialists, who weave in best-in-class private local guides, thoughtfully designed excursions and truly superb accommodations, resulting in adventures that get you off the beaten path. We carefully handpick top-notch family run properties, boutique hotels, historic haciendas, safari camps, eco-lodges and the finest small expedition ships. Whether you choose one of our suggested itineraries or opt for a completely customized adventure, Vaya will help you get to truly know these extraordinary places and the people that call them home. Since our start in 2004, we’ve been dedicated to culturally and environmentally responsible travel. Vaya is a leader in supporting conservation and community-based initiatives in the destinations we take our travelers. For example, Vaya’s founder and president, Jim Lutz, serves as president of the International Galápagos Tour Operators Association (IGTOA), a nonprofit organization of 40 companies that is focused on protecting the fragile Galapagos Islands ecosystems while improving education and opportunities for the people who live there. Check us out on Trustpilot, Google, and Yelp, as well as on our testimonials page to see why our travelers rate us 5 stars. Over 98% of our travelers would recommend us to a friend or travel with us again. Why not find out for yourself why? We look forward to getting to know you and your travel style, sharing more about what sets Vaya apart, and helping you discover some of the planet’s most sensational corners.

Thank you Vaya for our Fabulous Galapagos Trip Vaya planned a perfect Galapagos trip for our family . We had some time limitations and they managed to find ways for us to experience everything we had hoped for. The guides were wonderful. The ship itinerary enabled us to see all the animals we wished to see. Vaya even arranged for us to spend the long afternoon layover on our return trip at a colonial era inn, instead of sitting at the airport for 8 hours.

Outstanding Chick Trip Jack McCabe from Vaya organized our trip to the Galapagos and Machu Picchu. We had terrific accommodations and food. Guides and or drivers met us at every turn to escort us seamlessly to our destinations. Most importantly the guides were passionate about their subject so our excursions were informative and meaningful. The real test came when we had transportation issues that had nothing to do with Vaya. We contacted Jack after hours. He returned our call quickly to make certain everything got worked out. It was the trip of a lifetime and Vaya will be the first call for my next trip to South America.

We had an excellent trip to Patagonia-… We had an excellent trip to Patagonia- both Chile and Argentina.Marci listened carefully to what we said we were interested in and put together a trip that was very responsive to our wishes. When it started to exceed our budget, she worked with us to find ways to cut costs while still ensuring we included our main priorities. Everything worked like a charm. We had a fabulous time!

Everything went smoothly including all… Everything went smoothly including all intra-country flights. The guides were incredibly knowledgeable and interesting. Liz was with every step of the way. Combining a galapagos and machu picchu did require some logistics, and which to do first. The weather suggested a galapagos first and peru second which proved to be correct choice. Liz directed us to this itinerary.
