From the time we reached out to Teresa to begin planning the tour through the time Laura walked us to our return flight check-in, it was the epitome of a turn-key, customized experience. Our Cuban guide, Laura, was absolutely exceptional. She is a lawyer who guides in her spare time, so her credentials were off the chart. Those traits were matched by her kindness and sincere interest in making sure our vacation was top-notch, every moment of the day. She, and the wonderful driver Leo, escorted us - literally - from the moment we left the hotel lobby, until the time we returned at night. I would recommend her, and this travel experience, to anyone.

Touring with Cultural Island Travel is a MUST if you want fun, information and great food. We are generally not tour group people. In order to go to Cuba, we chose this company in 2017. We had such an amazing time with their personalized services and their enthusiastic informed leaders that we decided to employ them again to see Mexico City. Irma and Ivette are inspirational tour leaders and lovely people. They hired local people on the ground who were even more expert on the ancient civilizations, religions, art and cultural history of each community. We saw the pyramids (Mayan Temples,) Frieda Kahlo's home, magical towns, and floated in the only remaining canals at Xochimilco. Our lunches and dinners were exquisitely satisfying to our four foodie participants. One of our guests is blind and deaf and our hosts made sure she had a spectacular visit. Though the trip is pre-planned, any need or desire that came up was fulfilled by our hosts. If you have ever dreamed of going to Cuba or Mexico, you will be more than satisfied if you choose Cultural Island Travel. P.S. Mexico is safe, clean and fun!

Theresa and Laura terrific team Theresa and Laura make a terrific team! Laura was always present with a smile providing factual information when available. The tours were well organized and the chance to interact with actual artists and chefs and dancers made it truly memorable. We will carry fond memories of Cuba and we hope that the two countries come closer in the future. Utmost appreciation for the Cuban people who have shown true resilience over the years. I thoroughly enjoyed this trip to Cuba I thoroughly enjoyed the tour, the itinerary, the guides, meals, and concerts. Ebony was delightful and so accommodating. She found a way to rearrange things to make everything fit in the time we had even when circumstances changed. She gave us wonderful tips on how to spend our time in the afternoons and evenings and helped arrange transportation and tickets. She also gave tips and suggestions on dishes and desserts to order at places we would be eating. It was such an engaging time with her, learning about Cuba and all of our conversations in general. It felt like we were visiting a friend! Everyone (drivers, guides, staff at the accommodations, etc.) we came into contact with was also very friendly and helpful and wonderful to chat with. I enjoyed all of our meals and the chats with our driver in Havana, William. Ariel and Luharki were knowledgeable tour guides who were friendly and kind. I liked how the tours didn't feel rushed and we got a range of history as well as information about present-day life in the places we visited. Regarding the itinerary, I liked the variety of places we went and activities we did. Taking in sites, walking tours, musical concerts and performances, cooking classes...every day was different. For me, the pacing was nice. The days were full but not overwhelming. I left intrigued to visit Cuba again and will definitely recommend Cultural Island Travel to others.
