Magnificent trip to Russia Magnificent trip to Russia! I wasn't sure what to expect in Russia but whatever preconceived ideas I had wasn't what I found. Moscow was as cosmopolitan as any European city only cleaner and safer. Travel All Russia-Firebird Tours handled all the arrangements for my 10 day tour in Russia including the visa. They were quick to respond to any questions I had which were many. I highly recommend them and would use them again myself.

Agent Melissa was extremely helpful in… Agent Melissa was extremely helpful in helping us to set up our itinerary for our private tour of Russia. The local agent Alena was also most helpful in getting all tickets for ballets, operas, shows, and restaurants bookings during our trip. When our flight from Kazan to St Petersburg was delayed, I texted her and she was on top of it all to make sure my connection also arranged and transfer etc. We are overall very happy with the trip, only thing that can be improved is: some of the guides' English is not as good as we would have liked.

The drivers and guides were excellent and provided a rich perspective on each of their countries. Ana, our guide in Georgia was particularly informative and a perfect companion for our travels. Far East Russia definitely the Great Outdoors !! As in the past Travel all Russia lived up to expectations.A memorable holiday but more of an "expedition" as we explored little known areas.For such a trip you need to approach everything with an open mind,everything was very different but the real pleasure was coming in contact with the real Russian people, on an ongoing basis,rather than being sheltered from them,if one was in a large group. There is no doubt that this area of Russia lives up to the real "Great Outdoors" which suited us down to the ground.

Russia was a revelation! Excellent tour guides in both Moscow and St. Petersburg. Schedule was a bit light for my taste. In St. Petersburg, both Peterhof and Catherine's Palace were both beautiful, however, I would have liked to have visited additional art museums, and historic homes of writers rather that seeing two gold encrusted palaces. I knew that St. Petersburg would be crowded in August, but was just overwhelmed by the number of tourists. Impossible to really "see" art in the Hermitage -- we were rushed thru so quickly (by the museum guards) to accomopdate the 35,000 daily visitors. Other museums, especially The Russian State Museum, were exceptional. I visited it on my own, not part of the tour.
