Think twice about using Freedom Solar I had Freedom Solar installed a few years ago and then upgraded to back up batteries due to our changing climate. Due to hail storms early last summer, I required a new roof. When I first had the insulation, customer service was quite good and local. However, they have grown and extended themselves and doing so there is a disconnect With difficulty reaching people in charge or someone who could actually provide a service. Even the local representative that I’ve use has changed three times since I had my panels installed. When I first was going to need a new roof, I was required to pay in advance And add a cost that is more than others for the removal and reinstallation. They state that warranty will be negated if we use a different company. However, it took me six weeks of calling and finally able to touch with someone that I was not receiving an email the invoice because their new system did not allow or recognize my email. I was finally able to get it uninstalled after it was rescheduled because they had to fire a crew. At that time they had also scheduled reinstallation. Again it took me over a week of constantly calling to try and get the invoice so I could pay for the scheduled date. I called numerous times, including the day before installation to verify, and was assured the crews would be there. They were not. After calling numerous times to try and get someone to explain why no one showed in when they would install, no one called and I got an email this afternoon saying I would have to wait three months in January. on BBB site. I see another person about same time as I who has been rescheduled twice and another who has been waiting for installation since February of this year. I can really feel for the gentleman because we are paying for our electricity when we should be making it. I find this totally unacceptable and will encourage others not to use Freedom Solar . It doesn’t do any good to have a good product if you cannot provide good customer service.
