My family rented buggies for Pismo… My family rented buggies for Pismo beach. We showed up at the correct time only to be told that the Park Warden had closed the park and we could not go on our ride. We had to leave the area the next day as we were on a tight vacation schedule. That was 8 months ago and Sun Buggy REFUSES to give a refund for a service that they DID NOT PROVIDE. This is not even legal. Do NOT give your money to this company... you will be disappointed.

WORST Place - Scammers We were here with 2 others. This is the current review I have written down of everything which happened. It took over 5-6 hours and we still could not ride. We decided at that point, we wanted a full refund. Here is the review of that day: Absolute worst experience. When we checked in, I was told by Kay we were down for a side by side, I made sure to correct this and show the proof of our dune buggy reservation. Ater a 1.5-2.5 hour wait, and me talking to the front desk, I ask if we would be going out soon and get told - "Well there was an issue with one of the vehicles" and "You know its a 2-3 hour drive time, right?" I'm like ummm, what, "Yes that's what we paid for, not the 2-3 hour wait time". I don't understand why a vehicle issue happened and we weren't spoken to whatsoever during this entire wait period. There was zero communication. Well we finally get into the van to go to the Valley of Fire tour we paid for, and our Buggy isn't loaded up! They loaded the wrong vehicle. They loaded a 6 seater side by side instead of a 2 seater dune Buggy. When we mentioned, yet again I might add as I had already spoken to the front desk about this issue, that we paid for the dune buggies not the side by side, the guy literally told me "I dont recommend the dune buggies" Im over here thinking, sir, what, I dont understand? Your company logo is literally a dune Buggy and it's your biggest seller - that you actually have real dune buggies not just atvs. So I respond "I would like the 2 seater dune Buggy we reserved in the first place, please." We wait about 20 more minutes or so in the car before heading out to the desert. When we finally get to the desert, we have to wait another 1.5-2 hours, and this is after stopping to get lunch along the way and making a few wronf turns! So we finally give up when the vehicles get there as it is now peak heat time and we were supposed to have gotten BACK at that time, not JUST STARTING. We had even tried to call these people several times before they got there to see their ETA. We never got a single pickup call until they were 9 miles out. This was hands down the absolute worst experience we had in our 4 day Vegas trip. And we had a total of 3 excursions. This was the 3rd. Furthermore, this was so far off, the driver we had was called in on his day off to drive us. That's how unprepared these people were. When we got back, we spoke to an extremely rude man, Eric, who straight up said we didn't have to send the vehicles out there if you were just going to cancel to begin with. He then goes on to say, you could've told us you didn't want the side by side, which I did at the very beginning. I did not appreciate being treated like that after several hours of wait time already and severe issues along the way. He told us he will not authorize anything on a Sunday but to email this email and be very detailed. He is refusing to give proof he recieved all items so I don't have to deal with any issues in the refund process. He also specifically tried making us leave several times and put all the blame on us when we genuinely did nothing wrong. Absolutely no services were received. We paid for this with a Groupon and thank goodness we did! Because even after a very carefully and politely drafted email with screenshot proof of everything, we never received any response back from their QA department AFTER 2 WEEKS. We sent 3 emails during a 2 week time period and they never even attempted to contact us. We even tried calling! They ignored us because they wanted to thieve our money. Luckily we let Groupon know exactly what happened and they came through for us. they themselves had issues getting into contact with these people! 10/10 do NOT recommend this place. They are rude, run down, and just want your money. Zero communication skills, zero skills for employee professionalism. Only Mike there had any semblance of professionalism and he wasnt even a supervisor. The least professional individual and employee there was Eric and he is a supervisor. Overall extremely disappointing.

SHADY UNSAFE UNRELIABLE SHADY, UNSAFE AND UNRELIABLE HORRIBLE and SHADY ! Do not go unless you want your day ruined and to be out $200 cad. Me and my 3 girlfriends thought this would be a fun outing to breakup our Vegas trip. Not only was Sunbuggy over 1 hour late picking us up, they didn’t let us know they were going to be late or coming at all. Each time we reached out to find out what was going on we were never given a straight answer. We sat in front our hotel praying they would eventually show up. The ATV ride started 2 1/2 hours after our original start time and what was meant to be a 1 hour ride with pictures only lasted 15 minutes. Unfortunately someone in the group we were paired with, flipped their ATV and hit their head. This person was unable to stand after this incident and our guide was struggling to keep this person conscious. Our guide assured us they would be taking this person to a hospital, which they did not and the person ended up busing back to their hotel. After witnessing this horrific accident and seeing how Sunbuggy dealt with it, my friends and I were afraid to continue Atving so we Uber back to our hotel (they were suppose to transport us back). Our guide offered us a voucher to ATV some other time but, no one from Sunbuggy has reached out to us to provide us with this “voucher”. We have called and emailed multiple times requesting a refund but have got no response. This tour not only left me and my friends traumatized, it also ruined what was otherwise a fun trip. Save yourself the mental, psychical and financial pain and go with another company :(

This was such a BAD EXPERIENCE....The… This was such a BAD EXPERIENCE....The vehicles were poor maintained, our party of 6 broke down with flat tires 3 times within 30 minutes. Our buggies had flats when we arrived to the site. After 30 minutes, we asked to be taken back to the office. The management told the driver to take us back to our hotels. They refused to refund our $2,800.00. They said they needed to investigate our claim...The guides vehicle broke down and he had to ride with our party. Management was horrible, failed to resolve the issue. They said refunds could not be done!!!! $2,800.00 dollars for an unsafe buggy ride. No refund 🤔🤔🤔🤔

Would give NEGATIVE 5 stars if I could Would give NEGATIVE 5 stars if I could. Before I rip into the horrible experience I had, I want to first make a disclaimer that I don't toss around bad reviews, I'm a small business owner and hate leaving bad reviews if I don't really have to. Anyways, on we go: My first several experiences with SunBuggy was A plus, you can probably find some 5 star reviews from me somewhere. It's my go-to activity when I go to Vegas, I LOVE it! THIS time however was much much different. Me and my sister scheduled an hour long buggy chase for July 27 2021 (sorry I took so long to write this, I'mma busy lady). Our van driver, Big Mike, picked us up from our hotel on time and he was a pleasure, he was funny, timely, and no complaints there. We arrived to SunBuggy on time, however, once we got there things started to fall apart. First, it took over 40 mins to get everyone seperated into groups, it felt just disorganzied. Ok whatever. So they sit our group down to watch the safety video. We watched THIRTY minutes of videos of people crashing ATVs. So I asked a staff member when the video would start (cause I've done this before and this is clearly not the safety video.). I was told that this was supposed to be funny. I told the staff member, it wasn't funny, and someone left out of fear, and also, we should be out in our buggy by now, not watching highlights. SO they play the video, we get our gear and head out to the desert over an hour late for our start time. We get out there and FINALLY get in our buggy. I noticed that in the FOUR times I have gone on a SunBuggy baja chase, they have not upgraded their buggys cause ours was old, rusty and slow. Of course, 15 mins into the ride, someone behind us buggy broke down. We had to stop and wait 20+ mins, our guide says he'll make up the time, no problem. We start again, then my buggy breaks down. Another 20+ min delay, another promise to make up the time. They bring us a brand new shiny yellow buggy, so I joked and said, we should've STARTED with these and saved us the delay. We were supposed to start at 9, it's like 11:30 by now and desert heat is kickin our ass. So on we go, we finish the ride and quite frankly, it WAS fun! Cool bout 1:30 (we should be done and headed back to hotel) we are out in the desert waiting for the van to return us to the headquarters for another van to take us to hotel. This is getting long now.... We wait and wait aaaaand wait. Other customers are complaining about the disorganiztion, the heat, the lack of communication, etc, I'm still tryna be patient here, cause I like buggy riding. FINALLY van saves us from heat and back the headquarters we go. There are, literally, SIX vans and NINE employees (I counted) HANGING OUT when we get there, like chillin. I had enough. I go to the front desk where a staff member is so invested in her phone that I stood there for over 90 seconds before she noticed. Again I counted. I asked to speak to the manager (who would not give me her name. No one would.) I told her straight up, that I love SunBuggy but this trip was disorganized and frustrating and that as a repeat customer, I may not return after this trip and could someone take us back to our hotel now. She offered me a 30 min free ride for next time. I politely declined and told her, it would take me over 5 hours to enjoy that 30 mins so no thanks, just get me to my hotel please. Another 20 mins goes by, so I step outside to smoke a joint cause this is ridiculous. That same manager, came outside, and makes a passing comment about weed smoke. I put out my joint, went back inside and asked her did she have a problem. She said that I should not be smoking outside. I told her, I shouldn't still be here, watching 9 employees sit around while I wait for a ride back either but here we are. So with that, someone gets off their ass starts a van and loads up me, my sister, and 3 other groups (2 people per group). Once in the van, it's discovered that all 4 groups are going to DIFFERENT locations on the strip. Now we're ALL pissed cause they JAM us into one van. So, not to fault of sunbuggy, but there's CRAZY traffic that day and took us over an hour to get to the strip. Once we get close, I asked the driver to let me out at the first hotel stop, cause I was gonna take the monorail to my hotel, screw that traffic. He says NO. The other two groups, ask the same question. "Can we all get out at the Flamingo?" We ALL wanted out of that hot ass van. HE PASSES THE FLAMINGO and says "I'm from here, yall aren't, I know the best way". At this point, we're all upset, and basically YELLING at the guy to let us out. We had to jump out at a RED LIGHT to get FREE! I CALLED sunbuggy from the van and asked to speak to the manager, left ON HOLD over 15 mins before I hung up. I have MORE but I am out of room for the rest of this adventure. As of this review NO RESPONSE from management to the calls or emails I sent!!
