I have my Corvette listed on Autotrader… I have my Corvette listed on Autotrader and I get a text message from 346 area code in Houston area asking me if I have a Wheel Brief report on my car. I told the person that I've never heard of Wheel Brief and the person then sent me a link to a site called Wheel Brief. The person said that they lived a hour and a half away and would be at my house the next day with cash to buy my Vette. But, the person insisted on having a Wheel Brief report first. I told the person that I would provide the Carfax, they wanted the Wheel Brief report. This is all s scam, pay $40 to get absolutely nothing and I didnt fall for it. I told the person that my kids Mom works for the FBI and that is true. I also told the person that the scam that they are using is wire fraud and the phone number was issued into a data base that tracks criminals on the Internet.

Poor Preformance This report states nothing. I received a call from a "potential buyer", and they ask me to run a wheelbrief report. I did and it cost me too $40.00, and when the person did not show up to see the vehicle at the agreed time and place I realized they were actually an agent for wheelbrief selling these stupid little reports. Im sure they made a ton of money on my $40. It was an a@#hole move on there part but stupid of me. Won't happen again and I will be certain to tell everyone I know what a crap site wheelbrief is!

Shady business practice Listed my car on auto trader and received an "interested party" email. The potential buyer would only come to see the car if I paid for a "WB' report. I said I had a carfaxreport and was happy to provide it for them and they declined, saying they had bad experiences before with car fax and that if I wanted them to come see car I would have to pay for the report first. I even offered for them to buy "their preferred" report and deduct off sales price if purchased.NO SHOW Not sure if the scam was to boost web sales or phish for my CC info..Either way BEWARE. also they never answered the phone number..always went to a generic VM for a text to call line. Super Shady
