I have never written a negative review before, but.… I have never written a negative review for any business before, but Simple Campers’ way of handling our situation brings me to feel an ethical necessity to write. My wife and I rented an RV over the 4th of July weekend. After the first day the stove for cooking would not stay lit. Despite my wife and I being very familiar with the procedure for lighting it, we simply could not use it for cooking. Then while attempting to shower, we found that the shower would not drain. We were not able to take a shower and had to bail it out manually. We decided these combined failures defeated the purpose of having an RV. We called for help and ended up asking to return the RV one day early, with the assurance that we would be compensated for our pretty much ruined expectations of a fully functioning van. Suffice to say that the "officials" who run Simple Camper gave us a twenty-three day delay, despite a reminder, before giving us any compensation. When they finally did promise to give us compensation, they begrudgingly gave us a refund for what amounts to 11.1% of the $1937 we paid for all the fees and rental charges for this difficult four-day trip..that became a three-day trip. This in my experience was one in which the customer is "always wrong". The words that describe the responses we received from Simple Camper are that they were dismissive, minimizing and uncaring and seemingly oblivious that we might have any rights whatsoever in the matter. Simple Camper gives a vacation a stressful and bad memory. My wife and I suggest you look elsewhere if you want a reliable, reputable, positive RV rental experience.

Once in a lifetime trip! The guys at Simple Camper are amazing! We traveled nearly 2000 miles from Denver to San Francisco in the Maverick van and it was super comfortable and easy! I even was able to use my CPAP machine to sleep at night! Couldn't have asked for anything more. Looking forward to our next trip!
