Safety Restore is Real and Works as Advertised The driver side seatbelt tensioner on my 2001 Acura just wore out. Dealer couldn't source a replacement. 6 years repair still working fine Actual date was September 27th 2017. 2005 Mercury Grand Marquis. The driver's side seatbelt repair is still working fine. Wasn't sure if I could get the old seatbelt out, but I did. I only used stamps for exact postage. Nothing fancy just made sure the seat belt was protected and my name and address were on the seatbelt. It was returned to me by regular mail in perfect condition. When I installed the repair, the the seatbelt code went out. Has been out ever since. The seatbelt the dealer installed on the passenger side in 2014 has now incurred a defect. It seems Safety Restore's repairs may be better than the original manufacturing.
