FIThe only WooCommerce killer The only WooCommerce killer and the king of selling downloadable files

Plugins & Snippets
INBest solution to Sell Digital Downloads on WordPress Easy Digital Downloads (EDD) plugin offers a relatively quick and affordable solution to turn your WordPress Website in a store which sells digital products, mostly for selling premium WordPress plugins but also books, templates and other. The free version comes with PayPal Standard Payment gateway, which makes it possible to setup a pilot shop for free which is really helpful for many developers or small business owners who like to setup their own digital products stores. The difference between this plugin and other solutions is also that you have full control over the website's source code. Unlike many other plugins you’ll stumble upon, the basic setup is rather lightweight, simple and easy to use, and it doesn’t overpower your website. There are quite a number of additional plugins available (we estimate ca. 300 - 500 plugins) to add and improve to the functionality of an Easy Digital Downloads store. Also there are several Premium WordPress themes available to choose from. In addition the EDD team is providing support and working on steadily improving their plugins and is open for feedback. Therefore, you can trust in the Easy Digital Downloads team behind this plugin.

ILVery bad customer experience. Very bad customer experience. Changed their service without communicating to us and didn't want to give a refund for their bad service. Totally dissapointing

NLTake great care before buying EDD. They used to be great. I never go out of my way to leave a bad review but I really feel I need to, hoping others don't make the same mistake as I did. EDD sold an extension to another company leaving me to pay for what I already had. Ok fine, can happen. Then things became more and more complicated, buggy, heavily slowing down our website, filling the DB with unnecessary options and more. We stopped using it, but found out 2 months ago they still took $299 because we forgot to cancel apparently. After some email exchange, they were unwilling to refund, because we had accidentally activated the plugin once. If it's just one thing and they handle it well, fine. They did not though. After so many things going wrong and such bad support. I highly recommend pursuing other more modern options to sell you digital goods. We chose a SAAS platform and will never go back to EDD. There is no anger or resentment, just disappointment. In them and even in ourselves for waiting so long to wise up and choose a better platform for our business.
