AUCan be confusing, but elsewise a fun experience. I have so far been a part of 2 exchanges. The Black Friday exchange and the Secret Santa exchange. The first one I was a part of, I will admit, was a little confusing. I was expecting that I could just easily buy a gift that is shown on someone's wishlist, but no, nearly all of them had the "not available in your country" message, which makes it more difficult to purchase a gift for your match as you have less options/don't know what they could like (if they haven't written anything on their profile). Something that the Throne team could perhaps fix for future exchanges. Either allow international shipping, or don't allow the person to add the item on their wishlist to begin with. This next thing happened after buying a gift for my match- I ended up finding a "paste Amazon link" button way at the bottom of the store. Personally, I don't think it is a good place to put that, as a lot of people can miss it quite easily if they don't scroll down. This kind of button feels like it should be at the top next to the "store" tab for easy access. One last, very small complaint in regard to ordering/shipping. The gifts seem to take a long time to get sent out after the item has been ordered. (I had to wait a few days at most until I received tracking information for my first gift, which has arrived by this point. Still have yet to get one for my Secret Santa gift). I do not know why that tends to be the case. Aside from those complaints, after learning how Throne exchange worked, the process became a smoother experience. The first person I was matched with was great, and as for the Secret Santa, I was rematched with someone else after my original match didn't get me a gift. The giftees themselves seem to be very generous people on Throne, which surprised me.

GBInternet Secret Santa returns! I was sad when the Reddit gift Exchanges stopped, but this is an excellent replacement. They've made enormous improvements on the Secret Santa model to make sure that everyone who partakes is guaranteed a gift. It's early days, so there are teething issues, but you can see the Discord team solving every problem that comes up as fast as they can and working super hard to make this an excellent experience for all. Would HIGHLY recommend getting involved!

USSo Confusing This whole process was a bit confusing. I feel like signing up was really easy. I was really excited to start out. And the more I learned about the process the more of bad taste I got. The deposit wasn't a big deal for me at all. I thought it was a great idea to ensure that everybody would have a gift by the end of everything. Learning that I had to pick from y'all's shop was disheartening. But I also get it for privacy reasons. Then finding out that "matching day" wasn't actually the day. it was more "Bank transactions clearing day" where you guys would verify my funds and we would get our matches the next day. Do this the week before or something? Then the way that you let us know that our transactions for our bought gift, for our giftee, and that our gifter had completed on their end is very very confusing! On the website it should be clear that both things have happened not an email telling me that both things have happened. I don't want to have to reveal my gift to show that my gifter got me a present. Also it isn't clear at all when you get your giftee a present that it worked. I think that needs to be fixed big time. We do not need tracking information at all we just need something on the website or in the app that says you bought this, you are sending this gift that's all we need to know. Then giftee marks as received. Boom. Done. But it needs to be clear.

GBAnother awful experience matched with same poor gift exchange partner. Look at the fake 5* reviews from staff who have 1 trustpilot review to boost this site and clearly not genuine reviews like this. another awful experience, site matches you with the same people, one of the exchangers who's gift never arrived aout of supposedly 1643 participants it pairs me with the same person who lazily picks the firs thing throne states is "popular" without looking on my wishlist, algorythm just pairs you with awful people if you're in the uk so you never get anything while the site inflates prices, I tried buying something for my gifter from amazon was £13 with free shipping, throne inflates to £21 plust £5 shipping so I had to pick something different (and they will pocket the profit) I don't know why it can't pair me with someone who might look on my wishlist and get something nice, clearly algorythm chooses to pair me again with sme person because site is biased and doesn't try. There's no way I randomly get assigned the same partner to choose for me again, especially when the item never arrived, it's clearly algorythmed horribly to choose horribly. Out of 6 exchanges, one person has looked on my wishlist and chosen things for me, 3 have lazy picked what is "popular" this one unknown, one previous didn't show up, and one person picked digital goods which were never delivered, so fact is 2/5ths not arrived, no regifter, only refunded for one of those and just left feeling horrible and throwing profits to throne getting nothing back. This one remains pending to see if it'll show up but really no effort made by gifter as similar priced items on my wishlist could've been got that would've been wanted but they made 0 effort. Just horrible website honestly. The big scam comes in the fact that they inflate the prices from what they show and boost the price, that's reallly not on especially as they then add postage costs where free shipping too, just entirely all in their pockets.
