Uptown Website Works is the worst. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!!!! I wish i could give this company negative stars. Even 0 is too many for them. In over 30 years of owning a company and working with others I have NEVER been treated the way Uptown has recently treated me. I am in utter shock and sick to my stomach. The sheer amount of disrespect here is unfathomable. We have paid the over $5k and feel completely taken advantage of. Not only is the site horribly thrown together but the lack of communication and horrible service received from Uptown is out of control. I hired them to build a website towards the end of last year. It took them months to get anything up and running. EVERY little task i asked them to do felt like pulling teeth, then it would take them weeks to make even the smallest changes. When they said the site was completed (I sell retail and wholesale CBD products) i had to screen shot and ask them to remove pictures of other companies products. 13 pictures of items that i didn't even sell. Some even had labels showing a competing companies name and product. REALLY!?! This was just the beginning. It took them over a month to get my shopping cart setup to function with my merchant processor. There is no legitimate reason for this besides being lazy and blatantly disrespecting me... THE CUSTOMER. Then they talked us into spending $3500 for an SEO package. ( I know, stupid of me) but they promised the world and swore up and down that they could be successful at this because they built the site. In 6 months i received only 3 orders from their work. I made more sales from word of mouth to friends than they did even after spending $3500 with them for this service. For the first month the website was "Live" you couldn't even type in my company name and find the website in google. Only after complaining about this for weeks was the issue fixed. That seemed to always the the case. I would have to call in and practically beg for them to get anything done. You would think my money was a good enough reason to do the work. I also paid them to do digital marketing for my social media and they NEVER EVEN ONCE logged into anything or posted anything. This was an epic fail at this point. And all this is only the beginning!!!!!!! After months of this type of behavior i had had enough. I held up my end of the bargain by paying everything discussed promptly and in full and they did very little in return. I grew impatient and ventured off to find another company to actually provide the services i so greatly needed, my SEO and Social media digital marketing. My new hire had full access to the website for the purpose of getting my SEO going. He was absolutely astonished with the lack of effort and skill displayed in the creation of my "Site" He explained to me why I would never be able to generate the traffic and sales i should have been seeing because of their lack of competence on Uptowns part. This led me to wanting a proper website set up in its place. So i hired the New guy to do exactly that. Upon attempting to start we have been blocked out my own site by Uptown. They started to understand what is happening and is holding my website hostage. I asked to have the upload size increased my 2mb and they want to charge me $950 for literally changing a setting (something that takes them 15 seconds and no cost) They will not allow me to have my domain name (Which i paid for) I told them i will not be giving them any more money and they jumped on and locked me out of the back end of the site. The email address to reset the password is theirs and they will not allow me to have the password or change it. This literally is making me sick to my stomach. They continue to bully me into paying them more money for access to my own site. This is ridiculous. They have made me feel about an inch tall. I even told them that i will be writing a review and they basically laughed at me saying that they will have them taken down. I don't know what else to do anymore. ALL I CAN DO IS WRITE THIS TO LET THE WORLD KNOW HOW THEY TREAT PAYING CUSTOMERS AND DISRESPECT THEM. I WISH I HAD READ SOMETHING LIKE THIS BEFORE MAKING THE DECISION TO WORK WITH THEM. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY FOR ANYTHING!!!!!! They will do you wrong and laugh in your face when it comes down to where we are at now. There are more things that led to this point but i think after reading this people will get the point. Please if you read this before hiring them, do yourself a favor and walk away. Nothing good has come from hiring Uptown Website Works

Great company!!! Uptownwebsiteworks is a great company to work with, I use them for a lot more than just building a website. It's almost as if they are an employee. Uptownwebsiteworks is a company you can really trust. They handle my PHP development work, web design, web hosting and search engine optimization.

Scam company they don't do work as promised They are an nightmare! They built me a website filled it with junk products that weren't even mine. They never corrected the issue. I must of have 3 or 4 employees that left in the middle of my project.I had an former employee to tell me they take on lots of work just to get money & don't deliver as promised.I losted $9,000 dollars dealing with them. They don't even give back refunds as promised. They did that to me. The last project manager that was working with me even left the company. He had the nerve to call me & told me he was working on his own & wanted to help me on future projects. No apology for not getting my refund when I severed ties with them. I blocked his number & uptownwebsiteworks when they called me about resigning up with them. Not to mention I made 0 dollars in dealing business with them. NY State should shut them down I filled a complaint with NY State business affairs. They didn't even cooperate with my matter. AVOID THEM AT ALL COST ! DON'T LET THEM GET YOUR MONEY
