I got scammed with KDP Publishers I got scammed with KDP Publishers, and was led to believe they were the well-known KDP (Kindle Direct Publishing with Amazon). On the Kindle Direct Publishing website, it's more of a do-it-yourself, the reason I reached out to find KDP Publishers who I assumed was part of the same company, the part that provided services. Well, beware of scammers who use names such as KDP and Amazon to trick you into thinking they are who you think they are. They were running a Thanksgiving special at half price, so I was thrilled. Then a couple days later, he convinced me that my website needed revamping so that I could sell books from my website and keep all the royalties. When Brian Miller called me to set up my payment (my project manager), I found it weird he sounded as if he was from the middle east. I even asked him if Brian Miller was his real name. He chuckled, and said that he is from the middle east, but that was his real name. A day or two later, his assistant, Jennifer Stark, sounded exactly the same. Brian was so annoying by texting me every morning to see how my day was going, with nothing to share about my project. About 10 days after payment, they finally sent me the first 60 pages of my interior to look over. RED FLAG. The layout of the first several pages was all wrong. They changed my Prologue to Preface. Added a Table of Contents to my fictional novel. Indented paragraphs that were not to be indented, and removed my scene breaks to combine the text. Also, the material was double-spaced. WTH??? I had a bad feeling early on, but I already paid so I hoped for the best. Once I realized that this was not Kindle Direct Publishing and they weren't affiliated with Amazon, and the work they had done so far was shoddy at best, and like no other book publishing company would do, I contacted my credit card company to try and undo the charge (what an attorney advised me). The cc company told me to notify the publishing company first to explain my being misled and ask for a refund. I did that, and no surprise, it's been nothing but crickets since. I canceled my cc since they obviously had my information. They will be filing a dispute for me, but I suspect "Brian Miller" has probably already changed his name and/or email address, and moved on to his next victim. What really kills me is that I went thru a lot of trouble to research the best self-publishing companies, and KDP with Amazon is rated #1. Unfortunately, it's only a platform. You have to do-it-yourself, which I'm told isn't difficult. I'm just not wanting to try it. My recommendation is to check BBB ratings and especially Top Consumer Reviews, which lists the top 12 best publishing services. From there, you can check their websites (verify their logo) for package deals, costs, and/or set up a free consultation with them. One thing about KDP Publishers, the scammers, when I was on their site, a chat box popped up to answer any questions I had. We chatted back and forth for well over an hour. Next thing I know, he phones me for payment so they can get started. No contract. No nothing. Lesson learned.

NO REFUND after a year I got the "global Package, they told me they would do my book in 8 weeks, they never did, not the illustrations, the proof read was really bad, they didn't finished the book on time, and they did NOT refund my money even when I paid the whole $1,200 dollars. Thanks to these scammers I lost appearances on TV because I had nothing to show for. The damage is done and Today 09/08/2023 almost a year after they took my money they haven't refunded my money. they have bad reviews everywhere, same as their evil twin website (www the kindle publishers com) they are out to rob you Writers beware.

Very bad at reviewing books Very bad at reviewing books. Even though there is no error. They will still ask you or stop you to publish. Keep asking to review even after correcting errors. Their services are very bad at all.

My experience with KDP PUBLISHERS (AMZ… My experience with KDP PUBLISHERS (AMZ Publishing Profs) was highly frustrating and unsatisfactory. They failed to fulfill their commitments, ignored communication for weeks, and provided false reassurances. Despite requesting specific services, I only received a paperback and Kindle version of my book, with no hardcover, board book, author's page, or printed copies as promised. They constantly delayed the printing process, giving inconsistent updates. When I requested a refund, they ignored me and tried to offer additional services instead. I strongly advise against trusting KDP PUBLISHERS (AMZ Publishing Profs) for your publishing needs. They have proven to be unreliable and untrustworthy. Here are some suggestions if you encounter a similar situation: ensure a signed contract and invoice, avoid sharing unnecessary personal information, research reputable publishing companies, exit early if expectations aren't met, and wait until you can afford a well-known company to avoid wasting time and resources.

kdppulishers.com is Nearly a Scammer Site I would give it a zero if I could. This is nearly a scammer site. But they know how to write some false reviews online. They do not know anything about book and publishing. All they want is your money. Be careful! Do not waste your money there. I have a word for those who want to publish your book: Either get on Amazon/Apple/Googl or any online publishing website to do it on your own, or contact those companies with good reputations. You have to check what book they have published. I have experience with two small companies, they are all bad. Now I've learned something. You must check what they have really done instead of listen to what they say or what's on their website. They know how to get false reviews also. Talk to them and ask them what they have published, then talk to the author to make sure what they say is true.
