My relationship with Nioxus goes back… My relationship with Nioxus goes back to June 2020. After watching a vast number of their excellent videos on YouTube and enjoying the easy teaching (sometimes a bit repetitive) of Andy Marks I gave serious thought to purchasing a subscription. After some careful consideration I took the plunge. Thursday webinars were great, and I have not missed one since. A jovial Andy hosted these informative and interesting sessions, and a fair amount was learned. In addition, the website had numerous templates, examples, manual and various other offerings. Sadly, though my experience soured to the point that I am going to cancel my subscription and I regret greatly spending additional hard earned US Dollars for services that were not only subpar but in fact have proved entirely useless. My first misfortune was booking a ‘Data Model’ review. I booked and paid for this around August. I provided a download link to a OneDrive folder along with the manual I had written to assist the reviewer. A week went by, and I heard nothing. I sent an email or two with no response. A week or two later I sent in a support ticket asking what the situation was with respect to my review and stated that if Nioxus were unwilling to review my database perhaps a refund would be in order. Within 24 hours I had received my refund. No apology for the delay or explanation they simply sent my money back. This seemed quite odd to me, and I mentioned this in the webinar chat and explained exactly what had happened. To cut a long story short I then received an apology and to rectify matters a free review was done. Two singled sided A4 pages. Later I opted to make use of their concierge service. The main reason for this was because I needed some code created which was beyond my level of ability. Ninox (the software company and in no way involved in this ‘issue’. In fact, their service and support are excellent had created some code which did not work as I had hoped (no fault of theirs). Nioxus with Andy Marks at the helm and I booked some hours with a free hour as a bonus. I showed the code that Ninox had created which was pretty much dismissed as useless and proceeded to explain what needed to be done. After some discussion it was agreed that he would develop the code ‘offline’, and we would meet again to go over what was done. The meeting took place and a lot of work had been done and explained. I tested the code after my meeting and found that it did not in fact work as requested. Furthermore, the original code was still there which seemed odd. I then sent in a few emails asking what was going to be done and these were ignored or responded to with statements such as ‘we will get back to you’, ‘when we have time’, ‘Andy will be in touch’…. Nothing of the sort happened and eventually I sent in an email expressing my concerns and dissatisfaction but still erring on the side of diplomacy and tact. Immediately following this email, I was asked for an impromptu Zoom meeting with Andy whereupon he tore into me with a good degree of anger. A far cry from the jovial, cheerful webinar banter. I was shocked at such an unprofessional approach to a legitimate complaint. Following this meeting about a week or so later I asked what would be done about my non-working code and was asked to send in a video of how the code was not working. This was done and that was that. I was informed recently that should I wish to have my code issue sorted (Andy states it was working when it was uploaded) I would have to book more hours. There was absolutely no way the code could ever had worked because the changes made were not actionable via the button used to run the code (the original Ninox code was all there was in the button). Nioxus wanted additional paid hours to fix it. I raised a support ticket with Ninox (what I should have done from the start) and a free 15-minute slot was booked for a few days later. In those 15 minutes the code (Ninox code) was diagnosed and fixed. I now have working code. To conclude. Do not use Nioxus unless you can throw a lot of money their way, get a firm price for the project you would like them to do and if possible, arrange a deposit with balance payable on completion of the project as agreed upon. But I would rather reach out to Ninox support at a first instance as they know their product and provide excellent service. PS: I sent in a support ticket to advise them that my non working code had been repaired by Ninox and at no cost. They appear to have deleted it from my support history. I never got more than an automated reply to it.

Nioxus, beware it's a rip off Hello, we're a non profit organisation (Belgium) and we've paid to the friendly "Andy" Andrew Marks (the face of NIOXUS) in january 2021 a substantial amount to create a application (based on our database already made in NINOX). During the numerous zoomsessions mr Andy always told us what a nice application we would have, and he himself would be proud of it. When signaling to him that there was something not working in the application as it should he then e-mailed back that we insulted him and his team (sic). Three months later we still had nothing to show and we're an illusion less. You expect not such a behaviour from an "outstanding member" of the NINOX community. I've got the e-mails to prove that I'm not exagerating. When asking for a partial refund it's also becoming very quiet on his side. I think he has found a way to make money without sweating to much.

Huge expense, long delays, broken promises and no product I paid Nioxus to produce a Ninox-integrated app in full, by two instalments in 2019. It is now March 2021 and I still do not have an app. I have got to know them well through various meetings at that time for a separate larger project, payable by monthly retainer. Nioxus are, at first, charming, friendly... and masters at stringing you along - all at your expense. They don't meet their own deadlines, then act like you have killed their dog if you dare to criticise them for their lack of results, extended delays or frank periods of ignoring you. They have now publicly denied that I was ever their customer, which I look forward to demonstrating to be an untruth in court if I have to (and I can demonstrate this so easily, with meeting invitations, emails, invoices, video clips of meetings etc). They say they act with integrity but as soon as you want results for the money you have paid, they act defensively, aggressively and unprofessionally. This review has been a long time coming - I have sat on my hands for months from my first misgivings, and given them plenty of opportunities to put things right. There must be other, better and more professional Ninox developers to choose from out there. I could not recommend strongly enough that you are not taken in (as I was) by the friendly veneer, and look elsewhere. I feel like the sucker who was defrauded when he should have known better.
