Bookmarked. I check here first before buying any skin care. I discovered this site for ingredient checking. I have a rare skin disorder. (Google Lichen Planus). Yeast is a trigger for many skin disorders. I cut and paste ingredients and problem ingredients are flagged. I have purchased many skin care items after reading Folliculitis Scout suggested products. Sunscreen is important for anti-aging. Finding the sunscreen for me is extremely difficult. The best sunscreen list is a great starting point for anyone who has Seb. Derm, "fungal acne", folliculitis, ezcema, or in general sensitive skin. I would like the product listings/sorting to be streamlined.

Folliculitis Scout - Life saver Well ill try to keep this short. I am 39 years young and had an allergic reaction to an antibiotic in Nov 2020. Because of this had to take Steroids. Well this messed up my body/immune system. I got oral thrush and then in March 2021 got fungal acne bad on my forehead. I googled it and actually found the Simple Skin Science website first ad freaked out and called my Derm who was already treating my allergic reactions. She at first said it wasn't FA before seeing me and i insisted on an appointment. When she saw me she immediately prescribed Keto 2% cream. I used this for from march until end of june 2 times a day and then now only use 1 time a week to make sure it doesnt come back. With that being said i used Folliculitis scout regularly to change all of my products! Yes everything i use on my face to shampoo and conditioner as well. I now after stopping Keto daily am on tretinoin 0.01% to clear my regular acne after ruling out it wasnt FA and we had gotten rid of all of it. Folliculitis scout helped me determine the Tret was FA safe and answer all kinds of questions i had pertaining to FA that my Derm would not answer. Basically i got RX form Derm and advise from Folliculitis scout. Infact the simpleskinsciece web site was helpful but a little misleading and that website does not respond to you questions so if i hadnt found Folliculitis scout i would have been lost and made wrong decisions on products. It was a very hard thing to deal with FA and definitely made me self conscious so hang in there if you are going through it and use Folliculitis scout. I will continue to use them to check meds and products :)

Really quick reply to a question I asked I asked if a product was really FA/acne safe because of the occurrence/use of essential and fruit oils in the product. It got the all OK from their amazing ingredient checker, my holy grail before I buy anything skincare and make up related bc for me this is the ingredient checker that is proven to work. I doubted their checker and asked them my question and I got a reply within hours. I totally didn't expect that.
