Emperor's New Clothes? OMG was looking after our Google, Facebook & Instagram ads which left us going backwards, in a rather damaging way – please read to the very end, if your business has also been negatively impacted by OMG. Initially we ran our digital ads in-house “learning by doing” and we recorded our performance KPIs week by week for years. When we (7-figure company, reputable brand in Australia) switched to OMG, spending $5,800 per month, naturally we ‘expected’ noticeable growth on our ROAS (in simple words) given we were finding ourselves in the hands of digital marketing experts. That wasn’t the case, and were were able to proof it, instead time was spent to convince us how great everything was going. We’d like to mention that OMG’s onboarding processes and systems are second to none, which made us believe that OMG is in fact a very professional company that stand by their promise to "Unlock explosive revenue growth with an honest, evidence-based digital marketing agency" and being: “100% transparent, no excuses and dodgy practices Just serious digital results.” (OMG's website 21/03/2024), when accepting a monthly payment for their expert service. We haven’t experienced any of their promises. When we started to realise that the emperor indeed wasn’t wearing any clothes after our Facebook account manager unveiled the truth to be told, we decided to leave OMG... as fast as we could. We communicated our findings to OMG and gave OMG 30-day notice (with 2 months contractual commitment remaining at that point of time). OMG didn’t have to work on our account for the duration of 30-days while we committed to pay for the entire month. With that we asked to waive the remainder of 1x month payment as per contract given the evidence and part our ways amicably. They would not. No responsibility taken. We disputed the charge which resulted in our favour. Almost 1 year later, we are being harassed by a Commercial Credit Service. OMG accumulating many 5-star reviews on Google, which are not mirrored on Trustpilot (3.3 rating as of today 21/03/2024 – 39% of 1-star reviews). Also looking at OMG’s replies to negative reviews attacking their clients with accusations for not being legitimate clients of theirs while not taking responsibility is painting a picture. We believe, OMG are experts in self-promotion. If OMG’s 1-star reviews are a rarity on Google, we will have to accept it. If the 5-star reviews, however, are being curated, we need to find out to spare other businesses from having to go through a rather daunting or worse, damaging experience to their livelihood.
