GBTerrible Communication When hiring a logistics company, I expect good communications but that's not what I received. I received a quote from Chris Martin for $450 to transport my vehicle from Texas to Florida. I realized the price would likely ultimately be higher as I was not very flexible in my pickup or delivery window. After providing a $100 deposit Chris identified a company that would provide open transit on my dates for $650. I agreed and all seemed OK. The car was supposed to be picked up at 5PM on a Friday. This slipped to 6PM then between 8 and 9PM, then I was told at 10PM they'd see me tomorrow because they had an issue in Houston. Each time I had to chase Chris for info and he was slow to respond. I was not available the following day and Chris suggested that I hide my keys in the yard for the driver. Obviously, I rejected this and now had to get a friend to meet the transport truck which was due to arrive at Noon. I called Chris in the morning and he told me the driver wouldn't arrive until 3PM. My friend arrived at 3PM but the driver didn't arrive until 5PM!! The chronic lateness and lack of advanced notice was becoming irritating. When the transport GLG arrived they were great and took care while unloading other vehicles and loading mine. Delivery in Florida was supposed to me on a Monday around 5PM... At 3PM I called Chris Martin, who could not tell me where my car was, but he thought it would arrive later that day. Want to guess if it arrived??? No! The following day I called GLG myself, as got the number from a picture my friend had taken of the truck. They told me the truck hadn't even made it to Miami yet, then had to circle to Sarasota where I was... It was never going to arrive on Monday. GLG could tell I was a bit stressed and offered to send me a pic of the car on the transport and their GPS. How could Fairways be so off and the GLG folks be so easy to talk to? Does Fairways not communicate with the actual transporters? To end this long story, the car finally arrived Wednesday at 10PM. The 2 star review would have been one star if not for the great guys from GLG Transport, but Fairways was terrible at their role, Logistics and Communication!

GBA great transaction and experience with… A great transaction and experience with JERRY at Fairways. This was a challenging pick up due to location and car but JERRY took ownership of my transport needs, found a super great driver, and got my car from California to Ohio in under the estimated time! JERRY'S service is WORLD CLASS. I am a Sales Manager in the automobile industry plus a classic car and restoration hobbyist. Believe me when I say, "I know good people" and JERRY WILL GIVE YOU HIS VERY BEST. Communication: A+++ Price commitment: Exactly as contracted. ( Yes, I tipped my driver as well - nice guy - was careful with this project car - c'mon spread the joy folks ) Stop and read this so that you may understand better if not having the experience shipping cars: The Broker like JERRY, knows and can see the "traffic" and where it is and where it's going. Based on where your pick up is and where it's going JERRY tries to find a match for driver, time, and drop off. The price you get is a good estimate. Understand that. Example: The nearest driver during that time may be 200 miles or so away and yes they'll pick up your car but that may be additional money to drive extra miles and time to go and physically get your car. Time and cost. That choice is up to you. Either grab it pay the extra or simply wait it out if you have the time. With the FACT that there are fewer drivers at the moment (not going in to "why") it's not that easy. Read and understand your contract BEFORE you sign up. Ask questions. This is not pizza delivery you have responsibility in this as well. Be polite. Just because things aren't going as planned doesn't mean they're not going. So, if you need a transport - who do you contact? There's only one right answer here and his name has been mentioned already and that's JERRY at Fairways Logistics. "Thank you again Jerry you were awesome on this and when I puchase my next classic I will be reaching out. This concludes my review.
