They're soft, fine-gauge, nonbinding, stay up (I don't fold the cuff; instead wear them as a crew type), and the dye does not irritate my psoriatic-arthritis sensitive skin. My first pairs have shown no signs of wear yet and I've purchased enough more now to never have to resort to the other types that caused problems.
