Can you put a price on peace of mind? We recently had Matt in to inspect our new build property and Matt was excellent throughout. Matt was very understanding on the lead up to the inspection when dates changed at short notice due to the builders pushing back completion. When we finally did have a concrete date Matt was incredibly flexible and available at very short notice. Before the inspection Matt was very approachable and gave us great understanding of what was to be checked and why. During the inspection Matt was happy to field any questions and was very thorough in his inspection of the property. After the inspection we went around the property with Matt and spoke about the "bigger" points and despite a number of issues we got the reassurance we had bought a good house. The inspection came very prompt the following day giving us plenty of time before our builder got in touch to discuss snags a week or so later. When discussing snags the report was fantastic to be able to go around room by room and talk about every point on the report. When a team came in to address some of the snags they had their own report but used ours as it had pictures pointing out the snags and was clearer to read. All in all a fantastic service by a great guy, would definitely use again.

Great service I had originally organised a survey to be done by another company but was let down last minute. I was recommended Hodgins Inspections by a colleague and after sending a message on their website, Matt was duly in touch and arranged for a survey to be done within a few days. Having looked round the house myself I noticed there were around 10 things that were really obvious. When the survey report was sent through the next day, there were 127 things raised, all documented with pictures. Obviously this was a bit deflating given that you really wouldn't expect that many faults with a new house, but I'm really thankful I got the survey done as although the builder I gave the report to did not seem very happy about it, they have started working through the problems. Dealing with Matt has been a pleasure from start to finish. Communication was great throughout and I received the report the day after the visit. Couldn't recommend Matt enough. Thank you.

Worth every penny! Booked a home inspection with Matt on the day of our completion. We were already thoroughly disappointed with what we could see at the handover. Matt was meticulous. He produced our report which identified over 280 defects with our new home. Some of the defects were to be expected whilst others were larger issues which didn’t fall under a snag category, it was just very very poor work. We produced this to the building company who were less than impressed and we are now on with the arduous task of getting all the issues put right. Matt isn’t there to try his best to find issues with your home, and in all honesty I would have been happy to pay the money and there be minimal issues with my home, but I am so glad we did spend the money and had a proper report produced and we now know exactly what the issues are and what we as customers should and shouldn't accept. I can not recommend his services enough. He is in the trade and knows what goes on and what builders try to get away with. Matt has been available to speak with if there have been any further queries we have had as well. Would highly recommend!

Worth it Matt was worth his weight in gold. He provided a really good professional report. His attention to detail was amazing. He even took the time to fix our front door. He’s a really nice, professional guy and I wouldn’t hesitate in using him again.
