Classic bait and switch Classic bait and switch. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! All Buildmax locations not listed with Better Business Bureau. BUYER BEWARE All the Buildmax Companies and locations are run by Randy White. We now have a faulty foundation with wet spots due to poor workmanship, job completed 7 months ago. This was a job that required the Architect's drawings to be followed. It is a 10 inch thick concrete foundation that Randy decided he would use unskilled workers, a crew led by a lead Huego. To keep costs down, a concrete vibrator was never used, resulting in honeycombing throughout this foundation. His workers left wood and a aluminum can visible in the foundation. The wet spot now visible in the interior wall is where the wood was left. Randy decided then to cover up this honeycombing with a layer of concrete he intentionally thought he would conceal, not knowing photos were taken. Randy actually instructed his workmen to not follow the drawings in order to save them work, recorded on our cameras. Complaint filed with Illinois Attorney General and City of Chicago Buildings. The State of Illinois Attorney General Reference# is 2022-CONSC-00154967. Randy White, the owner of Buildmax was sent a letter September 20, 2022 that he has chosen to ignore.
