GBI Would Give 0 Stars if I could I purchased an expensive 32inch touchscreen monitor from them and as I was busy with work unpacked and installed it around 10 days later. No user manual but hey, what could go wrong with installing a monitor – we have all done it numerous times. Well, I switched on the monitor and the screen brightness almost blinded me. I reached for the brightness button on my keyboard – nothing, still blinding so I put on a pair of sunglasses to protect my eyes. The brightness control on the back of the monitor wasn't working either, so over the next couple of days I searched Google for Windows 11 brightness control not working. I made several attempts to fix the problem, which meant rebooting – then I found problem 2. On reboot, the screen froze with the bottom half covered in multi-coloured lines, and this happened several times. So I decided to unplug and plug back the video cable – problem number 3 – video plug on the monitor was very wobbly and close to falling off. Time to call Touchscreen Guru support – again and again, and again – no reply left voicemail twice. Tried the We will call you back feature – it didn’t work, neither did the chat. OK, let’s try completing the support form on their web site – went off but no response, repeated nothing, so back to the phone. Finally. On day 15 from delivery, I managed to speak to their CEO, Jerry Bird and here is the outcome: · Refused to accept return – “It could get damaged in transit” · Refused to replace · Refused to schedule a remote session to check the monitor · Blamed the problems on my technical competence – since when did you require technical skills to turn the brightness down · Refused to make a refund · Suggested problem could be fixed in easily if I used Dark Mode – see email from their CEO: “You received the monitor on January 11th. Our return policy is 15 days. I suggest you save your eyes and use dark mode like 80% of the world. Sorry for the inconvenience” Not content with their “great” customer service and support, they then attempted to steal from my bank account, here is part of a message from my bank: “Touchscreen Guru has tried to take the payment from your account again. We have rejected it and have informed their bank.”
