About WGU - Western Governors University

Here at WGU, we believe that talent is universal—even if opportunity isn't. Higher education is the best way to bridge that gap, but traditional higher ed wasn't built for the realities facing many of today's students. So we created a university focused on expanding access to education around the country. We've innovated with students in mind, giving them the flexibility and freedom they need to succeed in today's workplace.

WGU Masters in Business Management… WGU Masters in Business Management program was great. Self paced curriculum with as much or as little instructor help as needed.

Western Governors University’s IT… Western Governors University’s IT Program Review WGU’s IT program is excellent. It’s flexible, allowing students to learn at their own pace, which is great for those with busy schedules. The teachers are supportive, and the courses teach the latest in technology. Plus, the practical projects help students get ready for real IT jobs. Overall, it’s a top-notch online program for anyone looking to get into IT.

WGU only cares about money WGU only cares about money. Not you. If I could give a 0 star rating I would as this place convinces you that it cares about you as a student and goes through a lot of hoops to do so. Unfortunately if you end up misunderstanding the way your employer pays for school as mine was previously a reimbursement then transitioned to a letter of credit without my knowledge WGU is now unwilling to take the letter of credit and reimburse the amount I paid via credit card. They have essentially told me to 'kick rocks you gave us your money already' and I have multiple e-mails and screenshots to prove this if necessary. Will I continue schooling here? Yes - only because I've already started. Will I recommend a place like this to anyone else in the future? Absolutely not.

Professional, courteous, informative, and engaging. The alumni association representative I recently spoke with was professional, courteous, informative, and engaging. I intend to attend an alumni gathering for grads who transferred to WGU with an associate's degree or similarly accumulated credits and the alumni rep provided concise details and benefits regarding the event.

If I could give this place 0 stars I… If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Thought the 3 years I’ve attended, I’ve had some of the most racist, bitter, incompetent counselors. All of the staff workers from those that are helping students with academics to the financial department are all full of crap. Everyone there is very disrespectful, untrustworthy & unprofessional.
