One of the best choices in career VU was a very quick decision for me and it is by far among the best I've made! Coming from startups as a founder and operator, VU opened up a new perspective for me - almost like taking a new seat around the same table but getting a clearer view. A year later after graduation, I've accelerated my career greatly now working with founders that seek support in fundraise. The knowledge, skills and network gained from the experience are benefiting not only me but to dozens of founder in developing nations.

The relationships I was able to cultivate with my team as we set out to find the next Unicorn (or better) were incredible. VU is easily one of the best decisions... VU is easily one of the best decisions I've ever made. Sky and Andrew are incredible mentors and teachers. Not only do we learn from their many years of experience, but we actually go out and apply what we've learned. I've never had such a great combination of work and educational experience. Not only that, but the people you're surrounded with also teach you so much about different industries and give you new perspectives. VU's unique structure allows us to provide the most value possible to the entrepreneurs we talk to while also fueling ourselves with even more knowledge. If your goal is to learn and to invest in yourself, then VU is the perfect environment. At the end of the day, it's only worth what you put into it. If you are eager and curious, you can champion several deals from start to finish. But if you only do the bare minimum, you won't be able to reap the full benefits of the experience.

I wish I had more time to bring more deals to IC; I stayed for 3 months. Also, I think it might be great for future cohorts to get the syllabus ahead of time (in terms of the lecture topics covered during the Masterclass). Also, I think they'd benefit from more financial modeling/waterfall examples/scenarios/problem sets. Maybe walking them through an entire diligence process at the outset could be helpful. How do you analyze a data room? Also, maybe a mini-lecture on preparing for an IC could be helpful. Come prepared w/ questions during the Masterclass & Modules. Maybe submit them beforehand.
