I passed! I solely used Barbri to prepare for the July 2023 bar exam. The best feature is the planner. I am not good at planning a study schedule, but Barbri prepared a daily schedule of lectures and routine practices. I loved the lecturers and the constant MBE drilling, as well as the solid essay model answers. If you just stick to Barbri’s daily schedule, you’ll pass.

Everything you need I’m about to take SQE 1 with Barbri and I feel as prepared as I can be for the exams. The content is vast and there are different ways to learn the material to suit everyone. A little slow on the legal updates and could be better organised and communicated more efficiently to students. My learning coach has been a great support. I would recommend Barbri to any student looking to take the SQE.

Great experience overall Good lectures, the presenters are upbeat, funny, and clear. Good structure for instruction and review. The CMRs are awesome, though I wished there were more space to take notes on them. I think there could be greater emphasis on essays, especially providing roadmaps for how to write them -that would be more useful than self grading or barbri grading especially at the start. Overall I had a great experience. I kept up with the recommended hours, tracked my progress, and passed the bar.

One stop shop The format of the study materials was very helpful. I have no complaints at all and could not have passed without Barbri’s guidance. I did not use outside materials to study (such as Adaptibar); I only used Barbri and I passed the California bar on my first try. That being said, whether you utilize all Barbri has to offer is up to you and your dedication to passing on your first try.

Good Enough (Passed) But Could Improve There are only so many ways to present the material. Some people prefer flow charts, mnemonics, whatever. My principal complaint concerns the lecturers. Some of them have no business being part of a program I paid almost 3K. The good: civ pro, contracts, torts, community property, OK: corps, agency/partnership The awful: Con law, crim law/crim pro, wills, trusts, evidence. I did like the "micro" essays embedded in some of the lectures. You should expand on those. The MBE materials were fine. Everybody complained about the Feb. administration; it didn't matter if they used Adaptibar, Uworld, or other.
