Law made easy! I did the SQE1 prep course with Barbri, and I passed on my first sitting! I had not studied law before and I do not work in a firm. Barbri offers so much support, and the teaching style helped me overcome my fears. The language is very accessible. This is the "law for dummies" reassurance I was looking for!

Everything you need I’m about to take SQE 1 with Barbri and I feel as prepared as I can be for the exams. The content is vast and there are different ways to learn the material to suit everyone. A little slow on the legal updates and could be better organised and communicated more efficiently to students. My learning coach has been a great support. I would recommend Barbri to any student looking to take the SQE.

Disappointing Experience While I appreciate that the laws change, the books should be updated more regularly. I started the course Aug 2023, while my book was published in 2022 (No month published). There were 11 pages of supplementary notes with 25 days of updates and more than 50 amendments across different subjects. I am aware of at least one law change (9 months ago) that is not present in the supplementary information. While tests were helpful, some of the questions and answers were incorrect due to the above information. Questions and answers need to be updated in real-time. Response time to questions was good. The system did not always work. Sometimes, being locked out of course entirely and constant errors in loading tests. Lectures were sometimes very difficult to hear; the volume was too low. I will be looking elsewhere for SQE2 which is disappointing as BARBRI is supposed to be a 'Global leader in legal education'.

Good Enough (Passed) But Could Improve There are only so many ways to present the material. Some people prefer flow charts, mnemonics, whatever. My principal complaint concerns the lecturers. Some of them have no business being part of a program I paid almost 3K. The good: civ pro, contracts, torts, community property, OK: corps, agency/partnership The awful: Con law, crim law/crim pro, wills, trusts, evidence. I did like the "micro" essays embedded in some of the lectures. You should expand on those. The MBE materials were fine. Everybody complained about the Feb. administration; it didn't matter if they used Adaptibar, Uworld, or other.

I trusted BARBRI because attorney who I… I trusted BARBRI because attorneys who I really respected had taken BARBRI and passed. Their predictions were very accurate. BARBRI predicted I’d pass the first time and I did. My passing score was 1% above what they predicted. Their reliable teaching methods and encouragement made me confident I'd pass.
