It is like hiring a private tutor to teach you how to learn, and the GMAT just happens to be the subject. The way they combine elements of motivation and accountability (assigning accountability partners, weekly progress emails, and monthly check ins) with a holistic teaching method (homework, virtual group classes and office hours) is next level. Initially I signed up for Magoosh. I was an electrical engineer major at a top university and thought I could put the hours in on my own and be fine, as usual. Unfortunately, I was wrong. 4 months later, I had wasted vital MBA application time watching less effective methods and poorly created practice problems. Don't make my mistake.
