Better Than College I originally found Seth and his course through his appearance on the Shane Hummus Youtube channel and I was intrigued. I was loosely familiar with topics like SEO and Google Ads but didn't know people made careers of the field. I looked further into the course and the course website and ultimately decided I would give it a try. I was in college at the time (actually majoring in marketing) and figured making the investment in building some legitimate skills would be beneficial for my future because my college courses weren't teaching me anything truly applicable. This decision ended up being one of the wisest moves I have made. I can confidently say the topics that this course taught me (not the generic college marketing topics) helped me land a digital marketing position just a month ago. The fundamentals of PPC, SEO, and all that comes with digital marketing is what helped impress in my 3 rounds of interviews, not the piece of paper that I spent 4 years in college going after that taught me about the 4 P's of marketing. Unlike most people who graduate with a marketing degree, I am blessed to have gotten hired quickly after graduation and in a related position to my field. There isn't an overload of information, every section covers the topic very well and it even has a project or homework to do. So you get to learn and have hands-on experience. But the best of all is that it felt like a real class, even if the lessons are pre-recorded, Seth (the mastermind behind the course), makes it feel like a real class and makes great analogies and jokes so it makes it easier to learn.
