Worthwhile Experience I worked with Anthony at Medlearnity and it was absolutely worth the experience. I was struggling to pass my exam and after working with him, I have finally passed it. He has broad knowledge base. He not only gave me tips on time management on the exam but also how to interpret the questions to answer them correctly. We went over a few topics but mostly practiced doing questions, which was worthwhile at the end.

I googled “general surgery boards tutor” and MedLearnity came up. I gave it a shot with the sample session, and was immediately blown away with how knowledgeable and patient and helpful Anthony was. He has real world surgical experience, and more importantly he understands how board examiners are likely to ask questions. He makes sure you understand why you answer things right or wrong, and if you get something right he will ask you other ways that question could be asked. Having a schedule was also really helpful, and he provides a week by week schedule that you can take or leave. In addition he has these incredible study guides that compile lots and lots of factoids into digestible tables & lists. I easily got 5-10 questions just off one of his study guides. Overall, I trusted Anthony and he really made all the difference in terms of my passing this second time. He is patient, knowledgeable, personable, and really invested in your success. I will absolutely be signing up to work with him for oral boards.

Help during COVID-19 pandemic I was in a time of delays and uncertainty for my CBSE and Step 1 sit dates due to COVID-19 pandemic. I reached out to Medlearnity after a not so great practice NMBE exam score in 160s. They provided me structure, digestible high yield information, and a solid study plan to achieve a Step 1 score of 225. From answering emails promptly and tutors being flexible for meetings to great advice for maintaining optimal learning for extended periods of time.

Great Step 2 Score, mentored by Keith! I used Medlearnity under the tutorship of Keith Cordner to prepare for my USMLE Step 2. I worked with the program for a total of 6 weeks of dedicated studying. I think Medlearnity's structure, scheduling, and accessibility as a student is excellent. I used the shared Google Sheets in order to organize each day of my studying and would always get Keith's feedback on how I was building my schedule and if something needed to be changed based on performance. Working with one-on-one tutoring sessions for my boards has been an extremely successful approach for Step preparation that I needed. In the past I had worked with another board prep company, but despite doing all the work using their methods, it simply would not pay off for a successful score. I constantly felt I was wasting my money with them. With Keith, we met twice per week and covered the system I was focusing on at that time plus any other topic I felt I needed to work on based my practice Questions. At first, I remember the sessions being heavily guided by Keith, but by the end of my studying, I could see how my reasoning and approach to these questions had morphed into the approach taught by Keith. Working with Keith was extra helpful because as a resident, he would complete the reasoning behind certain questions from a hospital/clinical perspective. This allowed me to understand material better in a medical context and remember it not simply for the exam but also for my preparation for residency. Ultimately, as someone who has struggled with standardized testing, Medlearnity helped me develop confidence and techniques that I will continue using throughout my career for my next boards and when in residency. In my experience, it was definitely worth the investment!
