UX/UI for Gaming - 7 Week Course I joined a UX/UI course for gaming that was led by Ivy Sang. I went into it with very basic visual design knowledge, a website development background, and a big passion for video games. My goal taking this course was to gain the confidence to be able to switch careers. This course definitely met my expectations, I really enjoyed it and thought every class was informative, well laid out and very insightful. I feel like I learned a lot and am even feeling confident enough to tackle self-paced courses to hone my skills even further, now. Our program manager, Lynn Thompson, was super helpful and supportive throughout the entire process. The course felt seamless, clear and enjoyable.

Ivy Sang, Industry experience, Portfolio piece I really enjoyed Ivy Sang as teacher. She is the best part of the class. Her industry knowledge plus her candor and personable teaching style makes the class stand out among other UX classes. Juan, who is currently a Tech UI Designer at Bungie was also a great associate instructor. The portfolio piece you get in the end is awesome. And the portfolio feedback was super helpful in learning about communication and design judgement.

I was not prepared for how… I was not prepared for how professional, how supportive and genuine my instructors Adam and Alex would be for my game narrative course (Sabina you are our biggest cheerleader too and we all thank you for that.) I never would've guessed this class was as new as it was for how informative, helpful and resourceful it was. ELVTR makes sure you not only feel safe to learn to create, but pushes you with a community driven approach that felt it worked better than a lot of college courses I've taken.

Game Writing Course with Adrian Ropp Adrian's game writing course was amazing! I went in with no knowledge about the industry, and I wasn't treated less than because of it. I learned so much from Adrian, the guest speakers, and the assignments. Because of the class, I feel confident enough to apply for game writing jobs, which I couldn't say before the class. Adrian's passion for the field shows, and he wants all of the students to succeed. He was professional, knowledgeable, and just fun. The class also introduced me to some wonderful fellow writers, and it was great being surrounded by other creatives. I highly recommend the class to anyone who's thinking of a career transition. You won't regret it!

I completed the Game Writer course with Adam Dolin Adam was a fantastic instructor. He was knowledgeable about the subject matter, but also humble in his teaching, making him easy to connect with and learn from. The ELVTR staff were excellent and always there when we needed them.
