Game Writing with Adrian Ropp Easily one of the best classes I’ve ever taken. Adrian and his TAs were amazing. The real-world insights knowledge gained were well worth meeting twice a week. I loved the assignments and the lectures… the special guests were 🤌🏿🤌🏿🤌🏿 outstanding. Our ELVTR class manager, Lynn, was attentive and helpful. Would definitely take another class by ELVTR, especially if Adrian was teaching it.

An incredible 6-week course on Game Writing You'd be surprised in what you can learn in 6 weeks from an instructor's lessons as well as class assignments in which feedback is given. I recently took the Game Writing Course with Adam Dolin where we covered and honed in on topics relevant to game writing in the industry. The course is well-paced and the resources given are quite plentiful both during the lesson and on the slides. The assignments were challenging if you were new to a particular concept (ie screenwriting) but not only was there value in the exercise, there was great value in getting feedback from professionals. (Shoutout to the incredible writer & TA for this class Alex Blum who was both encouraging and constructive in his feedback!) Also, while getting a 1:1 chance to meet with an instructor was incredbile, it was such a hard choice to pick and I know that plenty of students wished to meet with both Adam and Alex! One last thing, depending on your classmates' schedules and openness, this class will unlock an incredible community of writers that are open to collaboration, feedback, and workshopping/brainstorming together! Overall, this course was incredible and if there was a more advanced or even more focused class on game writing (character building or worldbuilding as a topic etc.), I would sign up in a heartbeat!

Great Experience I really enjoyed this course the layout and structure was very clear. Lots of resources and great material to work with. The live sessions were so interactive our instructor was very expressive, she holds your attention. Also very genuine, real talk making experiences relatable. Great assistance from the team, I had questions and they were answered so quickly, they were very efficient. The course is a bit pricey having a payment plan helps a lot.

Updated: Unethical Business Practice Update: Per the reply, they were able to honor the original course price so I am updating the review. I will update the review again after the course. I was in the process of signing up for a course. I had started the approval process at work to get the course approved based on an invoice they gave me that was due March 7th. When I completed the approval process, the rep informed me they had decided not to honor the original invoice date of March 7th and "updated" the invoice to be a higher cost ($600 more). Since when are invoices "updated" when the company decides to charge more? They have an unethical business practice of baiting in customers with a price and then increasing the price at a later time. They still had seats, they just didn't want to offer them at the cost we agreed on. Overall very unhappy with this experience. I highly doubt the quality of this course given the low quality of their bait and switch business practice. I was lured in with one price and then the price switched before I had a chance to settle on the due date of the invoice. It's probably a good thing I didn't waste my annual tuition funds on this course.

This is what colleges should be focusing on, first person teaching. This may be the best good faith education initiative I have seen. They will call you on a SATURDAY if you request it. Great customer service and great tech Shout out to the dude “Lev the Legend” making calls on a national holiday
