They are essentially bridging the gap between candidate skills and ML/AI roles via a project portfolio approach that enables candidates to learn and showcase their skills and experience to potential employers. It has allowed me to build a personal online brand, use Chat-GPT strategically, and be resourceful in my project approaches.

Awesome experience working with my talented mentor and support staff of Apziva Between my mentor, Sandeep, and Semih, the head director, I have been inspired, motivated and shaped in so many ways. I have gained confidence and insight into the industry, to the point where I feel I can generate enough value on my own to start my own business, along with creating an interesting and useful project for another startup. I look at the roles I was applying for before and they seem unimpactful and uninteresting compared to what I feel capable of now. This program shaped my journey, and clearly deserves significant credit for the progress I have made since I began. I will say that you will only get out of it what you put into it. Coming in with very little programming background, but a good math background, I left with the understanding that in all of life, and through every challenge you face, there is no speed limit - you can go as fast as you want.

A transformative experience Before joining the Apziva, I found myself frequently battling impostor syndrome, questioning my abilities and my place in AI. It was a challenge that often left me feeling like an outsider in my own career. However, this program, and more importantly, the guidance and support from my mentor and the Apziva support team, became a turning point for me. From the very first project assignment, my mentor demonstrated an unwavering belief in my potential. This wasn’t just about completing tasks; it was about embarking on a journey of self-discovery and growth. Each project pushed me out of my comfort zone, and with my mentor’s encouragement, I started to see my own capabilities through a new lens. The feedback was always constructive, aimed at not just improving my work but also at bolstering my self-esteem. What truly set this mentorship experience apart was the personal investment my mentor made in helping me overcome my feelings of inadequacy. Through their guidance, I learned to recognize and celebrate my achievements, no matter how small they seemed. My mentor’s patience, knowledge, and encouragement were instrumental in transforming my perspective on my own abilities. As I progressed through the program, completing project after project, I not only gained new skills but also built a foundation of confidence that I had previously thought impossible. Reflecting on my time in the mentorship program, I am overwhelmed with gratitude for the experience and for the mentor and the Apziva team who stood by me every step of the way. This program didn’t just help me grow my skills; it helped me rediscover my self-worth and overcome the impostor syndrome that once held me back. I am now more confident and prepared to face the challenges of my career head-on, thanks to the invaluable support and guidance I received.
