NCU's program in marketing is…excelent. NCU's program in marketing is excellent. What I don't agree with is that they use Turnitin to penalize the student. Other universities use it to help students, and others have stopped using it due to its flaws. Professors tell you one thing about the similarity index percentage and then tell you the opposite. So you end up with thousands of dollars in debt and don't finish your dissertation because the software with so many flaws eliminates you. And worst of all is that you do not participate in the case discussion and do not even read the paper presented. Thanks.

If you want to waste your money and… If you want to waste your money and time, then NORTHCENTRAL is the place. I was a student there for over 3 years pursuing my education in PhD in business administration management. I've successfully completed the first 16 courses with a GPA of 3.57. However, for the dissertation which is 5 chapters I have been stuck in Chapter 1 for 24 weeks, every week I submit Chapter 1 my chair denied it then they dismissed me from school. I sought opinions from esteemed professors at various universities, all of whom concurred that my research deserved approval. their validation only amplified the frustration caused by the perpetual roadblocks I encountered. In pursuit of justice, I hold deep respect for my university and all its staff and I embarked on a grade appeal—a route I hoped would rectify the situation. Unfortunately, the Dean's office denied it after costing me approximately 80k.

I’m happy with the education I received… I’m happy with the education I received from NCU. It’s given me prestige at my firm because of my PhD. I do feel sometimes I could do more advanced research than what my job now as a financial advisor offers. However, people come to me more for advice on investments and my analysis on global events and how they may impact the economy and financial markets. I’m am also considering g teach part-time in one of the area schools to hone my teaching skills. NCU, keep doing what you’re doing.

NCU - Great EdD Program I enjoyed my time at NCU. The courses were set up to meet the needs of students who worked full-time and had family obligations. The coursework was relevant and current. Each course prepares the learner for the dissertation process. My professors were awesome. They provided great feedback that helped me to be successful. The tutoring center was amazing!! They have services and resources to ensure everyone meets their educational goals, if utilized.

My Experience at NCU My experience at NCU was nothing less than spectacular. Despite some of the snafus along the way, my mentor for my Doctorate program Dr. Cynthia Akagi was amazing. Her patience and expertise allowed me to develop a dissertation that I am proud of. Being of an age where most people don't consider going for a Doctorate, with the help of Dr. Akagi I pushed through although there were many times I just wanted to give up. I truly thank her for her kind words of encouragement, without that I am certain I would not have finished. Thank you Dr. Akagi, and thank you Northcentral University for allowing me to fulfill my dream of having a Doctorate degree.
