Exchange Programme I had an excellent experience at the University of Portsmouth. I was part of an exchange programme and got to stay 6 months in this university. I would gladly recommend their school of applied languages to anyone interested in that field.

I've just finished my first year of study at UoP... I've just finished my first year of study at UoP and, despite the difficulties of the pandemic, have thoroughly enjoyed my time here. Online lectures and seminars have been engaging and tutors are always available to support with tricky materials or discuss coursework queries. The city-campus style of the uni means that I get to explore the beautiful city on my way to lecture buildings, and the testing facilities have allowed me to feel safe going back to face-to-face teaching. Overall, a brilliant experience so far and I cannot wait to start my studies again in October!

First year overview University of Portsmouth has been an extraordinary experience so far. Moving abroad may seam scary at first, however there is no need to worry in this case. Each member of the staff has been extremely accommodating and invested within making you feel accepted and welcomed. The university itself provides 1st year students with secured place in the halls of your choice. If you need to self-isolate food parcels will be provided to you. There is also a wide range of part-time jobs opportunities if you wish to work alongside your studies. University even has a career centrum to help you with this process. What I do appreciate probably the most is always having somebody qualified to talk to as well as being supported even five years after my studies end.

I study pharmacy at Portsmouth. I study pharmacy at Portsmouth. The course content throughout the 4 years is great but it requires more organisation and equal balancing of the content by the staff. The university has great teachers, very friendly and helpful, who are willing to help during lectures but also after the class. The faculty has good facilities and materials needed for studies. It's a city university but more feels like a campus based because most university buildings are few minutes away from one and another, it is easier to walk in between lectures. The library is open 24 hours so you can study at any time you like. So far its been a great experience :)

Supportive University I started at the University of Portsmouth during Covid and the support they gave me was amazing! They were always on hand to discuss any issues I had throughout the pandemic and provide support in terms of deadlines, mental health, and isolation. I study film production which meant it was very hard to have the hands on approach I had hoped for. However, when we were allowed back in person there were lots of sessions and the tutors really helped me to catch up on what I had missed.
