GBThe place to go for help with Classical Guitar. For those wishing to dip into the world of Classical Guitar this 'Shed' contains a wealth of free and paid for courses covering any CG topic or question you may wish to address. For those wishing to start CG from scratch or who have lost their way in the myriad of books, DVDs, YouTube videos, online courses etc. etc.; the 'Woodshed' offers a safe place to hide away and begin again or hone your skills to as high a level as you can or want to achieve. It also includes online one to one access to three of the most genuine, knowledgeable, friendly and reliable people on the plant. All for a one off yearly fixed fee.

GBJust what I was after I have been signed up to CGS for rather more than a year. My experience has been uniformly positive. I started from zero (as a guitarist, though I have a lot of musical experience). There are some limitations to an entirely online programme - though these are partially offset by the workshops and one-to-one video reviews. (I haven't made as much use of these opportunities as I should have done). Still, I sometimes wish there was someone there in the room to correct my technique. Some of the coaching is too detailed for me (as I already have a grasp of musical notation, score-reading etc.). But you can take and leave what you want. Allen Matthews is an excellent tutor. The right mix of humour and purposeful intent. He has an excellent support team. My progress has been slower than I would have liked - but that is entirely down to me. If you are looking for a self-directed programme of instruction from square one, I'd recommend CGS without reservation.

USExcellence in Learning the Classical Guitar If you're not going to take private lessons, the Classical Guitar Shed is the next best resource. And for those taking private lessons the CGS has voluminous resources that no personal instructor could ever offer in your study. If you look up online guitar lessons, CGS will always appear at the top or near the top of ratings. You will not go wrong with your choice of the Classical Guitar Shed!

USTwo thumbs up. Allen is not only an accomplished player but he is a gifted teacher. One may say to oneself: "I will never be able to do that!" but his program helps one want to try and to trust that there is logic and benefit from some of the challenging, yet boring, technique exercises. Zak is an inspiration as well.

GBA rewarding classical guitar course on the internet If you're a beginner, or a fairly competent classical guitarist, Classical Guitar Shed has something to offer you. I've been a member for five months and find that the on-line lessons are accessible and rewarding. The structured approach is very helpful. Allen Mathews, who's behind it all, is a very competent guitarist and teacher. He has a relaxed style of delivery but, always has something relevant and useful to say. His team are, also, very quick to respond to queries. All in all, I'm a satisfied student and customer.
