Good mic for the price The output seems low compared to other mics.

In comparison to my Neumann U87ai In comparison to my Neumann U87ai, the Dachman does not hold up or deliver on its’ promise. It is down at least 9 db in level and sounds dull by comparison. It’s not a terrible mic and may find use if I need an extra mic, but it would be far from my first choice.

Customer service was excellent Customer service was excellent. They were so helpful with some questions that I had. And the mic arrived in great condition. The solders look amazing, the mic itself looks amazing and boy does it sound good. It's open and modern sounding but has that flavor we all so desperately love.

I built the DIY DA 87i from the kit I built the DIY DA 87i from the kit. It was a medium hard build (due to the small form factor) but the documentation was excellent and when I did run into some trouble I got excellent email support. The mic sounds *wonderful*, I use on vocals, acoustic guitar and mic'ing up electric guitar cabinets. I would have zero hesitation in using it for just about any source.
