For our use case, this switch will be the heart of the communication infrastructure for a high-altitude collegiate liquid rocket's onboard avionics system, carrying data critical to the mission's success. For us because of the vibrational environment, the board-to-board architecture of the GigaBlox Nano is fantastic, it removes points of failure and decreases system complexity. One of the reasons we decided to go with a COTS switch, in this case, was to allow us to worry less about the reliability of the vehicle's data backbone and more about the interesting control and data logging problems we are facing. I would highly recommend BotBlox products to anyone looking for an integrated low profile networking solution. Knowledgeable and Helpful I have been working on a robotics project using the GigaBlox network switch as the main means of communication between devices. I recently resolved an issue thanks to BotBlox support. They helped by suggesting useful tests to perform, and giving accurate assessment of the results. The issue ended up not being related to the switch itself and now the networking is working wonderfully. I would highly suggest giving these switches a try, great combination of good hardware and amazing support.
