The microvisor arrived quickly The microvisor arrived quickly, was well packed, easy to install, and looks great. I confirmed with a smoke stick that it does indeed help my microwave vent fan do a better job at catching fumes from the front burners of my stove.

The finish and fit are extraordinary The finish and fit are extraordinary. The corner brazing at the front is nearly imperceptible, with a fine polish on the view side. The holes line up with ease due to the long slots. I did swap out the mounting 3/4 inch screws for 1/2 inch ones, which had plenty of turns before bottoming out and tightening. I was not sure if going 3/4 inches into our microwave would get close to anything electrical inside. I am very impressed by the detail built into the visor. Smooth edges, very good stainless steel thickness, and a threaded knurled screw which locks the visor in place, once the receiving nut is engaged. Finding the shorter screws took longer than installing the unit. The look is classy, and my wife is happy with its appearance and function.

Good hood extension Hood extension works very well, as long as the microwave fan has a high cfm draw, and is vented to the outdoors. The fan on my microwave is ~400 cfm and vents directly out of the kitchen wall to the outdoors. The hood extension helps direct the cooking fumes to the fan and eliminates about 80% of smoke/fumes that would otherwise come into the kitchen area.

I used the video to instal mine and… I used the video to instal mine and that made it very easy for me, I did not use the spacers for my microwave. It looks great and it does capture ALL of the smoke coming from the burners. I now get released into the house the filtered smoke which is so much better than before, I now do not have yellow greasy cabinets above and near the microwave. My microwave exhaust does not release to the outside.

We can see again! This light replaces a light unit that no longer works in a $400 over-the-stove microwave that is a pain in the rear to replace. We've been without a stove light for two years. Tried another remote sensing light that worked for less than a month. Don't ask me why, maybe because I have been house-bound over the past month, I thought to look up "over stove lights." This product came up for a very fair price. I installed it in 2 minutes and my wife loves being able to see a frying pan again!
