GBThis seemed like a great idea to begin… This seemed like a great idea to begin with. I tried it for free, then signed up for a month, then upgraded to the cheaper 180-day package. Then the trouble started, I was paying more than I should and suddenly half of the calls weren't getting through. The support team were great to begin with - refunds and advice but when their system decided it could not see my phone's ID and there seemed no good reason for that, the support came to an end. Now I'm cancelling and moving to Skype

GBAvoid like a plague!! Avoid like a plague!!! I wonder where humanity went in this era where everyone is trying to fleece one another. First of all, this service is fraudulently advertised and yet can’t give the service as promised. I was in a desperate situation trying to contact the Department of Home Affairs in South Africa hence decided to use this service. I took the route of caution by only purchasing a £5 credit as opposed to their pre-chosen £13. Again, I used Apple Pay to avoid unauthorised payments as I have already done comments here. Unfortunately, my £5 hasn’t served its purpose, when I dial the SA number, the rebtel app redirects me to calling this number +44 333 241 4417. I have waited and waited to get connected until the call drops itself. By the time of writing this review, my £5 is still stuck in rebtel’s coffers doing nothing. Below is an extract from their so called support team. A chatbot!!! I'm sorry to hear that. Please ensure you have followed the correct process for making international calls. If you're using a top-up service, you usually have to dial an access number first, followed by your contact’s mobile number. If you're using an app like Rebtel, ensure it's properly set up. If the problem persists, please contact our support team. Shame on the developers and owners of this app; humanity demands honesty.

GBThis is a great way to make calls to… This is a great way to make calls to mobiles abroad. I pay the monthly fee, which includes unlimited calls. I phone family in Australia regularly and this works reliably. So glad I found Rebtel, a cheap way to call mobile to mobile abroad.

GBAVOID AVOID I should have checked the reviews before signing up they rope you in with free 7 day trial promising unlimited free calls for 7 days, of course you have to put your credit card info, then when you actually try to call, nothing happens , you need to add money, fine, £2.50, not going to break a bank, then to actually make a call you have to download the app, fine, but then the balance that I paid for, does not show up in the app. The it tells you activate your free period for unlimited calls, done - activated, still cant make any calls , they ask you for more money. At that point I requested to cancel and refund , deleted my card info, as there is no way to cancel the monthly membership, submitted request to cancel and refund all i am getting right now is empty response emails which are essentially my own emails being forwarded to me i suspect it is a bot £2.50 is not much by any stretch, but it is extremely annoying when they take you for a fool and it is just daylight robbery how many people paid £2.50 and gave up chasing the refund, it will all add up for a nice little backburner earner for Rebtel
