DEBest free video editing software I tested various tools, for me VSDC is simply the best free video editor around. You may need more time to get acquainted with everything but it is absolutely worth it as it has so much to offer. Don't know if it meets super professional demands but you can definitely edit more serious stuff than your casual vacation videos. Highly recommended.

USWorth its entire cost! (i.e., nothing) Requires installation of an MP4 codec, but doesn't tell you. If you try recording without it, you get an error with no indication of what is wrong. Screen recordings have horrible flicker, rendering them unwatchable. I've tried both monitors using various settings, and the flickering persists. Good luck getting help online. Their FAQ page is about as short as Trump's list of qualifications. It literally devotes more space to a couple of worthless images than to the actual questions and answers. On top of that, it froze on me within the first 15 minutes of use. Garbage.

ITI'm a student and VSDC is just perfect! I'm a student and I often need a program to edit some videos and clips for school presentations. I used to rely on windows movie maker, but recently I wasn't satisfied with it anymore! That's why I decided to change and try VSDC... could't be happier! The program's interface is simple, everything comes natural and for any doubt I could have... there was a training online explaining me everything! So satisfied, I really recommend VSDC!!

GBHere we go again Here we go again. 1 short video recorded on a bridge camera. 1 small section removed. Cannot export in usable format as "you have used hardware acceleration" (I have no idea what that means) & need to buy the PRO version. I downloaded VSDC FREE video editor to do this simple video edit & am absolutely not encouraged to buy it because of this catch 22 - if it had worked, that might well have been different.

RUGreat free solution for a limited resource PC owner I've been using VSDC for a couple of months already. It's the only non-linear video editor that doesn't constantly freeze my old and I-should-get-a-more-powerful-one PC. I'm still on Windows 7 with memory running low, and feel like VSDC is the only free option where I can perform advanced tricks like split screen and Chroma Key. Love it so far! Thank you for keeping it free.
