NameDrop is an important advocacy tool to help build authentic relationships I am a teacher. This app is more than a feature to include in my work, it is an important tool to be able to connect authentically with students and staff. It is important that we honor names and pronounce them correctly. I intend to spread the use of this app more district wide and with other school districts. My hope is that it will build community and heighten awareness of acknowledging how names are important in the connections we make. In that sense, NameDrop is an advocacy piece that for all of us.

Sometimes, people won't even say it for fear of butchering it, which happens fairly often even though my first name is phonetic. I had some issues getting the link into Mac Mail but Keshav Malani, the creator of the service, promptly attended to the challenge and showed me how to create a link and set me up quickly.
